'What did they mean by the three witches?' He thought and creased his brow.
He took a deep breath, trying to stop the blood from gushing out from his waist from the arrow attack.
He grimaced. Gnashing his teeth. His breathing was ragged. At the corner of his eyes, he saw three bikes racing toward them at extreme speed. They leave a trail of dust in the sky.
He widened his eyes and shook his head from the dizziness assaulting his brain.
'How could there be many skulls on a bike?'
He shivered. He couldn't imagine how many people they had to kill to decorate their bike with bones and skulls.
'I should escape. These people are far crueler than I imagine.'
Another dizziness assaulted his brain. He staggered back. He could barely maintain his footing.
'This can't be happening.'
His frail body was getting heavier by the seconds. Death is getting closer by the minute.
"I'm tired." He murmured. He wanted to sit on the yellow sand. But the flashes of images that appeared in his mind made him persevere a bit.
"Ma. I can't continue. I'm tired."
"What are you doing on our tuff" A lady asked with a teasing smile on her beautiful flat lips.
Her long brown hair swayed gently on her shoulder. Her mesmerizing smile didn't quite match the tens of skulls on her bike.
"W-We don't know this is your tuff." Rashad stuttered. 'When did the wasteland belong to you?' He cried in his mind.
However, he knew how dangerous these three captivating beauties were. If you look down because of their beauty. Then, you won't know how you die.
"Sorry for trespassing. We will be leaving." Rashad added with a slight bow.
"You can't come uninvited and leave just like that. Who do you think we are?" The lady asked while still smiling.
All those in the rovers were sweating bullets. Though their populations are higher than the three witches. But everyone in the wasteland knew the legend of the three witches.
They appeared a couple of years ago. And their legend began. No one knew where they came from. They started small, from bandits of five to ten.
Then… it escalates beyond those living in the wasteland imagination.
How!? No one knows.
Thus, the number of death tolls in their record gave people's nightmares.
Now, the Byport village was facing the dreadful witches.
"What do you want?" Rashad asked with a tight lip.
"You know what we want?"
'Is the rumor true?' Rashad shivered slightly.
Unknown to him, his back was drenched in cold sweats. There was a rumor spreading about the three witches. But no one knew how true it was.
'This can't be true. This can't.' He cried in his mind.
Rashad stared at his colleague and saw the fear in their eyes and beads of perspiration on their faces. Their previously haughty behavior had gone down the drain.
La Coasta with his single eye, stared at the two groups in awe. Three ladies in black light armor could make those arrogant men cowered in fear.
"So all of you are nothing but an empty drum." He muttered.
"I should have waited and face them."
*Ding
[Host, please stop bragging. We all know you will die before it all begins. Do you remember the state I found you before I activated?]
La Coasta wanted to puke out blood, but he controlled himself and took a deep breath. 'Why can't you allow me to have a moment of happiness? Though I may be bragging.'
Ding*
[Because it can lead you to get conceited.]
Meanwhile, Rashad stared at the three ladies, not knowing what to say. After thinking for a moment. He said slowly.
"I don't know what you want. Please tell us. If it is within our capability. We will surely do it."
Hahaha.
"I like you. You know how to please this witch."
"Will you stop your nonsense? We don't have all day." The icy voice of the lady on the left echoed.
The middle lady looked at the lady on her left and pouted. "Can't you let me have a little fun?"
"No!"
"Fine."
The middle lady turned to Rashad's group, still smiling. "What we need is simple…."
Simple.
The men in the rovers breathe sighs of relief. Since it is simple. They could fulfill it.
"Your lives."
"Fine, we— "Rashad didn't hear the last word of the lady. Since it was simple, he agreed without hearing the last statement.
But his brain jolted when he processed what he heard later. His eyes widened and the hot breeze of the wasteland suffocated inside out.
"Impossible!" Rashad shouted
"I know you won't' agree to the simple way." The lady sighed and shook her head.
"Don't think we'fear you. We have more men than you. Don't take our surrendering as a coward." Rashad shouted, with veins protruding from his forehead.
Bang!
A deafening sound echoed on the yellow sand dunes. Shocking everyone on the scene. La Coasta took a couple of steps backward.
His heart thumping. He had never heard such a deafening sound in his life. 'What sounds is that!?' He cried in his mind.
"Enough of your nonsense." The icy woman on the left had a weapon in her hand.
"Take cover. They have guns." Rashad shouted, jumping out of the rovers. And rushed to the back.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The expression of the three ladies changes. Now, everyone understands why they were called witches.
In their hands were 9 mm pistol. And on their waist was a pocket filled with magazines.
"I told you we should capture them and leave immediately but your…" The icy lady caught sight of something flying toward her and jumped to the side, rolling on the yellow sand.
Immediately, her left hand went into her pocket and took out her second 9 mm pistol. Fury appeared deep in her eyes.
She targets the location where the arrow came from. The three ladies dodged the arrows skillfully and took down their attackers, one after the other.
Ah! Ah!
"My leg…" Bang!
"Why are we so unlucky?" A bald man murmured continuously. "I don't want to die."
Suddenly at the corner of his eyes. He saw a young man staring at the ongoing battle like a spectator.
"It is the fault of this useless prick. If we you die too." He raised his bow and aimed at La Coasta.
Ding*
[Incoming threat. Do you want to avert the threat?]
Hmm?
La Coasta's eyes widened. The sudden dizziness assaulting his brain disappeared immediately.
'Yes!' He shouted in his mind.
Ding*
[Safety cost: 20 points. Do you agree?]
'Yes.'
[Points: 95 (-20)]
[Points: 75]
Ding*
[Host, when I say jump. You jump to your left.]
'Alrig —'
[Jump.]
La Coasta was stupefied. But he recovered from his initial shock and jumped to his left with every bit of strength left in him.
Swiss!
An arrow grazed past him by inches. If he had delayed by another second. He would die.
Ah! Ah!
The three witches had almost killed the Byport village men. When a sudden shout echoed continuously. At first, no one listened to the shout.
But the sudden change in the atmosphere made the people look in a certain direction.
Then they understand what the man was screaming at.
"Devil Storm."
