She was confused yet not scared, she knew nothing was wrong with her, and she was more than sure that an exorcism could never be true.
She who believed in no religion and had no faith in them had always regarded things such as shamanism and exorcisms as complete lies that con artists used to fool people.
"Why are you so obsessed with this, shouldn't you be more afraid of yourself than you are of me? You are the one who possesses some kind of power, not me."
"Well if you are that desperate to know the truth, I don't mind. I don't believe in those things anyways."
He was convinced by that answer but never in his life he didn't expect her to be an atheist who absolutely doesn't believe in anything, but he was not in a place to tell her that this is wrong and this is correct.
Though he brought out the word exorcism, he too couldn't dare to go to the church after he decided that he will be sacrificing himself to hell but yet he couldn't think of an idea other than that.
"Then let's both go to the church tomorrow night or else I can ask for them to come here."
"Going there is fine," she said.
"Hmm good," he said.
"When you are done eating, put your plate into the sink and go to sleep. My butler will take care of it for you. If you want anything just come straight to my room. Don't wander around outside the garden at night. If you want to take a walk, you better do it inside the house."
"I have no trust in what's beneath my garden."
"I am done eating, let me take care of your plate too." She put his plate over hers and walked to the sink to clean them up.
Daniel was speechless for a moment that he kept observing her who was washing the dishes when he told her that there is someone else to take care of it.
"Alright let's go then," She said wiping her hands with the towel.
"You shouldn't have done that, my butler could have taken care of that for you and it feels weird when you do that. So don't wash them anymore."
"It's okay, I need to pay for my accommodation here somehow."
"If that is what you think, I don't really mind but you don't have to be a servant of this house when I already have one to take care of this house."
"Try to be ready at 9.30 AM since we are going to head out to take care of your stuff. It's a relief that we both don't have any lectures tomorrow." Daniel talked while walking to his room.
"Then good night." He said opening the door to his room.
"Thank you and good night to you too, she went into her room and closed the door." He waited to hear her locking the door but she didn't. He wanted to tell her that she should lock the doors since he wasn't sure about himself.
"Idiot... How can you ask her that?" He went into the room and closed the door.
For him, it was a long day, and even though he didn't do much, trying to figure out who she really was mentally exhausted him.
He sat down on his desk and opened the computer to check the work at the company as the invisible CEO of the company. No one knew him, and neither did they know that he was looking over every major decision they were making.
"No mistakes today," he said after 2 hours of sitting in front of the computer.
He walked towards the door that opened to the garden and looked at the moon that was slowly getting covered by the raining clouds. The temperature was slowly dropping down which indicated that it was going to be heavy rain.
He picked up his phone to check, and he was correct it was a thunderstorm that was reaching them.
But he personally preferred the coldness of the night, that was the only thing that made him think that he does not belong to this world anymore.
He put his hand to the front and wished, "I hope that tonight she will appear in my dreams as the lightning strike down onto the earth." Daniel closed the door and went onto his bed and layed on the bed hoping for sleep to come to him.
Even before he realised he was asleep and was about to step into the world of dreams.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In front of him, there was a tree which was thriving with golden leaves on it, he just kept observing the tree as he was confused about what it was. There wasn't anything around him, the only thing that he could see was the tree that was shining.
He slowly walked towards it to figure out why he was seeing something like that in his dream and what he wanted to see came into his sight. It was Luna, the beauty she had on her when he first met her was still on her. Her wings were raven black behind her.
"Where did you go missing to?" he asked while approaching her. But no matter how closely he tried to go further he was away from her.
"Well, I was not that far away, it is you are so far away from me right now. Bring back those thoughts from the day you thought of becoming immortal."
"Only if you bring those deepest darkest feelings of yours back to life, only then you will be able to meet me."
"Even right now you can come to me If you are worthy of what I have bestowed on you."
He closed his eyes as he stopped walking toward her. All he could think was the thought of him wanting to meet her and figure out how dark his soul now was.
He then took a step again, and he was able to get closer to her.
