19. A step back

Just when he thought they were making progress! God that woman could be insufferable at times.

Troy viciously removed his tie as he sat on the edge of their bed. He bent down and removed his shoes and resisted the urge to throw them against the furthest wall from himself.

He walked to their closet and removed his suit jacket. He opened the door and took the first hanger he found.

He hung his jacket on the hanger and put it in the closet. He loosened his belt and contemplated what to wear.

He spotted his spare Chelsea t-shirt and wore that with a pair of dark blue shorts. He needed to work off some steam before the stress got to him; he thought and left their bedroom for the gym.

He jogged the short distance as a pre-warm-up. As he got into a rhythm his mind wandered to her earlier words. "You're welcome, Troy."
