“I’m glad she’s okay.” He looked up at the man. “You’re lucky mister, Daddy would be hopping mad if Mommy and the baby got hurt.”
The man looked at Eve in surprised. “Your son is very eloquent for a little guy.”
Eve beamed. “That is all his father. Trust me.” She looked at her sons. “Okay, now that we’re not hurt let’s officially join the queue.”
“It doesn’t look like a ‘q’,” Jeffery commented.
“That’s another word for when people stand the way those guys are standing,” Michael explained as he pointed out the people who were at the tills in queues already.
Jeff’s eyes went big, ‘Let’s go join a ‘q’ Mommy!” He pulled her hand towards the longest one.
Michael’s phone rang and Michael stayed behind with the trolley. He kept looking at Eve and nodding into his phone.
He pushed the trolley to where Eve and Jeffrey stood after he got off his phone.
