65. How it Really Ended

Ritah walked into the house and heard the silence. It was too quiet. She had two sons and a baby for a husband.

It had been two years since her super quick divorce from Troy. She was ashamed to admit that she had done some heinous things to keep him and to what avail?

Her trip to the witch doctor by far outstripped chasing the nearly naked Eve out of her home. She sighed.

God, what a dramatic time that had been. The silence in her house unnerved her.

It usually meant that her boys were up to something that would cost Trent a lot to fix or the boys their privileges for a week or two.

She had just come back from lunch with a few friends who had casually asked if it wasn't awkward attending the Tinovenga family gatherings as Trent's wife and not Troy’s.

Pausing to look at the mail on the little table in the foyer she thought about it.

The women had talked for a while, but Trent had made good and made her his wife in every way.
