*Start of flashback*
"Oh, well done, Boy Genius!" Eve rejoined sarcastically. "You've just proven my point beyond irrefutable doubt. Caucasians will never be able to comfortably let any person of color succeed without attempting to belittle, defame or slander said person of colour." She quite nearly almost spat her last words out.
Reg opened his mouth ready to chew her out. The bell rang marking the end of the period. The teacher dismissed them all and the kids rushed out.
It was the last period of the day, so they went to their lockers before heading home. When he got home Reg was in a foul mood. He stomped into the kitchen with a sour look.
"What happened with Eve today?" Barbra asked her son. He scowled.
Giving her a hug, he narrated the racial discrimination discussion in Social Studies which had resulted in both of them breathing fire. Even though he knew he was right he couldn't prove it and that made him as mad as a bear with a sore paw.
