The dark clouds of griefs

""Guards sent all the dead bodies back to their kingdom, along with these imprisoned ones," the fairy king said as he brutally removed the sword from his foe's chest. "Yes, Your Highness," replied the guard as he went to deliver the king's message.

Back in the human kingdom, the little prince gazed out the window, waiting for his father and brother to return. "What exactly are you looking at? Is there anyone outside? "Queen Marie inquired as she entered her son's room. "No, I'm waiting for my father and Eric. What is it that is taking them so long? "Aaron responded. "Don't worry, they'll be here soon," the queen said.

They were startled to hear people crying. The cry was loud enough that they could hear it from inside the castle. Then a guard barged into the room... "My queen, the king...". When Queen Marie heard these words, she immediately went outside the castle, only to find her husband's body.

When she saw this, she collapsed to the ground and couldn't move an inch. Her eyes were filled with tears, which were streaming down her cheeks. Aaron came over and hugged her while she was crying quietly. He inquired of his mother "Why are you sobbing, and why is your father sleeping outside? Where is Eric, Mother?".

She had forgotten about her son in the midst of all of this. She contacted the guards to inquire about him, only to discover yet another loss in her family. "Eric...what became of him? Please...please...wake up. This cannot be done to your mother. Please come here, Aaron, and ask your brother to wake up. You can't go out like this "said the queen, sobbing miserably for her dear son as she tugged him.

Everyone around her was in tears. Everyone in the kingdom was aware of her feelings for Eric. Eric was her soul if Aaron was her heart.

Later that day, the imprisoned guards informed her of what had occurred on the battlefield. How the fairies betrayed them by bringing along the other creatures in exchange for a deal. After hearing all of this, the queen stood up and went to the main city hall to express her condolences to other families who had also lost loved ones.

It rained heavily that night. There were lightning strikes and deafening thunderclaps. "Can I sleep with you, Mother? I'm afraid to sleep alone "said Aaron as he entered the room. He inquired again, but the queen did not respond. He was surely intelligent enough to recognise that something was wrong, so he quickly summoned his mother's maid Nora.

Nora couldn't feel the queen's pulse when she checked on her, so she asked the guards to call the royal physician. But it was too late; the queen had already left the world to be with her husband and son, leaving her five-year-old son alone.
