Chapter 45

When I opened my eyes, I found myself in my room, Diamond sat beside me. "Diamond are you alright?" I asked. "Yes" Diamond replied. "What about Silver? Is he alright? Did he die?" I asked. "No.....he's an immortal so he wouldn't die" Diamond said.

"Are....are you sure?" I asked. "Yes don't worry" Diamond said. "Thank goodness" I said. "How're you feeling?" Diamond asked. "I'm good" I replied. Few minutes later a maid entered our room. "Your Majesty....Prince Silver asked you both to meet him in the Throne room." The maid said.

"What's the matter?" Diamond asked. "His Majesty is awake and Prince Silver request that the both of you meet him in the Throne room and he also wants you to act" The maid said. "Act? Why?" I asked. "His Majesty is looking for his bride so Prince Silver wants everyone to pretend that we were all ambushed today" The maid said.

"Very well" Diamond said. The maid left us immediately. "Lilith how's your acting skills?" Diamond asked. "I excel when it comes to acting" I said. "OK then let's go" Diamond said. Diamond and I entered the Throne room, the very minute we entered. Everyone stared at us. "Where is my bride?" Damian asked, his voice echoed through the room. "Brother I'm....there's something I have to tell you" Silver said.

"Where is my bride Silver?" Damian said. "We were attacked this Morning Damian" Diamond said as she made her way to meet Damian. "So? Where is Dahlia and didn't we get married?" Damian said. "That's what Diamond is trying to say your Majesty. Everyone was gathered in the hall waiting for your arrival but you didn't show up. Dahlia thought you stood her up so in the process of waiting for you.....we were attacked your Majesty" I said.

"Who attacked us? And where was I when all this was happening?" Damiam asked. "You were sleeping of course" I said to myself. "From the look of things we suspect Ixia's doing....she must have casted a sleeping spell on you" Diamond said. "What about Dahlia?" Damian asked but everyone was silent.

Why don't they just tell him that Dahlia's dead? It seems like no one is willing to talk. I summoned courage, I decided to act like I cared about Dahlia. I took a deep breath and hot tears began to roll down my cheeks. I began to cry like I had sliced some onions.

"We were out numbered your Majesty...everyone fought for their lives. Your brother literally defended the Kingdom with his life, the same with Dahlia... But I wish I could tell you that Dahlia was up in her room waiting for your arrival and that she wasn't mad at you and that she was preparing a date so you guys could have another wedding but sadly she was killed by Ixia. We where so busy with defending the Kingdom that we didn't realize that Dahlia was killed. I know that she defended your Kingdom with love and courage" I said while trying to wipe away the tears with my hands.

"She's dead?" Damian asked. "Yes" Diamond replied. "I don't understand why would Ixia kill Dahlia and not me?" Damian asked. Every were was silent. "Your Majesty, Ixia said that Dahlia stole something important from her that's why she killed her" I said. "Would you like to see her corpse?" Diamond asked.

"No....Silver do me the honors of giving her a proper burial" Damian said. "It would be a pleasure brother" Silver said. "Now everyone leave....I want to be left alone" Damian said. Everyone left, Diamond and Silver dragged me to a corner.

"Lilith how did you do it?" Diamond asked. "It was as if you flipped the switch and then suddenly tears began to pour down like a river" Silver said.

"I was once in drama class back in high school" I said. "You need to rest" Silver said. "What are you going to do with Dahlia's body? Would you really give her a proper burial?" I asked. "Hell no.....I'm gonna dump her body by the river banks" Silver said. I went to my room to sleep but I heard a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" I asked. "It's me" Diamond said. Diamond walks into my room. "Diamond? What brings you here?" I asked. "Um.....I need a favor to ask" Diamond said. "What is it?" I asked. "Damian is in a really bad mood.....he doesn't want to talk to anyone so I was wondering if you could talk to him" Diamond said.

"What makes you think that Damian will talk to me when he refused to talk to you?" I asked. "Please Lilith you're our last hope" Diamond said. "OK....OK fine, I'd go but if I don't come back with my head, I'd have you to blame.....where's he?" I asked. "He's in the throne room" Diamond said.

I went to the Throne room, I saw Damian seated on his Throne. He placed his hand on his face, he closed and for some reason I had a bad feeling about this. I walked up to Damian.

"Damian? Damian can you hear me? Damian you need to say something....look I know that things are though for you right now. The situation of Dahlia is devastating right now but all I want you to do is to be strong cause I know that's what Dahlia would have wanted." I said but Damian didn't say anything.

"Damian? Please say something" I said. I placed my hand on Damian's shoulders, he opened his eyes. He looks at me and he stood up immediately, I don't know why but looking at Damian right now he looks like a demon in a horror movie. He walks close to me but I stepped back. He kept on coming closer while I went backwards. Oh No, did he find out the truth? Did he figure out that we killed Dahlia?.

I went backwards to the extent that I was literally leaning on the wall. Damian leans closer and he placed his lips on mine. I was so shocked that all I could do is to stand there like an ice fish. He pulls away then he looks me in the eyes and for some reason it feels like the real Damian is back. He creased my cheeks gently and the he kissed me again.

I can't believe that I've lost my first kiss to a Vampire king. I pushed him, he looks at me again. "Lilith" He said in a whisper. I ran like heck, I ran straight to my room.
