Chapter 57

We rode the horse for so many hours, the feeling of me riding with Damian gives me goosebumps. I fell asleep some hours later. I don't know how long I was asleep but I was woken by the sound of water. I slowly opened my eyes and I saw a river in front of me.

This river was covered with a thick fog, which makes it hard to see through. "You're awake" Damian said. "I'm so sorry.....I must have dozed off" I said. Damian came down from the horse, he helped me come down from the horse.

I walked to the river, I bent down and I put my hand deep into the river. "Now what?" Ivy asked. "We need to cross the river" Sylvester said. "How?" I asked. Suddenly a boat rolled out from the fog. "I think we have to use the boat" Sylvester said. "Is it safe?" I asked. "Probably" Sylvester replied.

Everyone entered the boat, I was so scared, I refuse to enter. Damian stretch forth his hand, I had no other option than to take it. Sylvester and Silver paddled the boat. I sat down beside Damian, Ivy kept staring at me and I felt pretty uncomfortable.

I looked into the water and aside from the fog, the water is pitch black. I kept staring at the water and I saw a white light, it looked like eyes were inside. I fell back in fear, luckily Damian caught me. "There....there's something in the water" I said. There was a sudden silence among us.

"See? There's nothing, you're just saying that to get attention" Ivy said. Attention? What does she mean by attention? I saw something. I looked at everyone, it seems like they believe her. I didn't make it up, I know what I saw. There is definitely something in the water.

Some minutes later something big hit the boat. The boat turned upside down and before we knew it we all in the river. The painful part is that I can't swim, I struggled but I went deep into the water.

Luckily for me someone grabbed my hand and pulled me back up. I gasped for air the moment I was out of the water. Sylvester turned the boat. Sylvester and Silver climbed into the boat, I was about to climb but we all heard a loud scream.

Now I'm definitely convinced that what we're dealing with is a monster. Damian grabbed my waist and he pushed me into the boat, Sylvester helped Ivy. I don't know how Damian got on the boat.

I sat down, I hid my face between my legs. I am so terrified, I almost died. I stood up cause my legs were numb. "No body move" Silver said. I immediately stopped in my tracks. Everywhere was dead silent, we heard the voice again. I couldn't move, I felt like peeing on myself.

I felt something grab my waist, I looked down and I saw tentacles on my waist. "Damian..." I said. Everyone looks at me. "Oh no" Silver said. "Damian" I said in a shaky voice. "Everything's gonna be okay.....look at me" Damian said in a whisper. I looked into Damian's eyes. "There's no need to be scared.....do you trust me?" Damiam asked.

I couldn't reply, the monster pulled me but Damian caught my hand. "Don't let go..... Please" I said. "I would never let you go..... I want you to close your eyes" Damiam said. I closed my eyes, I don't know what happened but I fell down. I felt something on me, I opened my eyes and I saw the tentacles on me.

I quickly kicked it aside, Sylvester helped me up. "Silver watch after Lilith, keep her away from the water, I'd be back" Damian said holding his sword in his hand. He jumped into the river, I ran to the edge of the boat but Sylvester pulled me back. "Silver aren't you going to do anything?" I asked.

"My brother can take care of himself..... besides I'm not surprised, he once jumped into the burning flames in hell" Silver said. "Isn't he going to die?" I asked. "He's an immortal being so of course he'd survive" Silver said. Sylvester and Silver began to paddle the door boat.

The boat moved so hard that I thought we would drown again. "Did you miss me?" Damian asked. I ran to him and I gave him a hug. "Don't you ever scare me like that again" I said. After so many hours of paddling we saw an Island. Everyone came down from the boat, I was shaking in fear.

"Now what?" Ivy asked. "Honestly I have no idea" Sylvester replied. "We should spread out looking for clues" Silver said. "Lilith stay close" Damian said. "Okay" I replied. So everyone went separate ways, I don't know where I was going but I let my legs take me where ever they want to.

After walking for some many hours, I got to a mountain. I don't know why but I get this feeling that, that's where we need to go. I can't go there on my own so I tried to go back to meet the others then it just occurred to me that I have no idea where I am, In fact I'm lost. I kept walking and walking, honestly I became confused.

The most annoying part is that it began to rain. Are you kidding me? Now? Of all the time it could rain why now? Who has ever heard of a rain fall in the middle of an Island? I tried to find my way but I couldn't, the ground became slippery. I kept walking round in circle, I missed a step and I fell down. I injured my leg, I couldn't even walk.

I sat down beside a tree, I am now terrified. I mean it's a huge island, what if they don't find me? What if I was eaten by wild animals before they find me?. This is so frustrating, we came to rescue Diamond and now I'm lost? I began to imagine how I'd be eaten by a lion, he'd probably leave some leftovers and vultures would probably finish the rest.

How can I die this way? I am ready to accept my fate. "LILITH!!" I heard someone scream. "Oh.... The Lord is calling me already" I said to myself. "LILITH WHERE ARE YOU?!!" The voice said again. "I'm here Lord" I said In a whisper. If this is how the Lord would take me then I'm ready.

"There you are" A voice said. I looked up to see if the Lord had sent his Angels for me but it was Damian. He knelt down and he hugged me. "You crazy girl, didn't I tell you to stay close? Why did you go too far?" Damian asked. "I..... Um..." Was all I could said. Damian let's go, Everyone ran to us well except Ivy who didn't seem pleased to see me.

"Are you alright?" Silver asked. "Yes" I replied. "Where do we go now?" Sylvester asked. "We need to get on top of that mountain" I said. "Have you lost your mind? We should go to that mountain?" Ivy said. "Why do you think we should go there?" Silver asked. "I know it's crazy but there's something up there that's calling me" I said.

"Very well, then that's where we shall go" Damian said. "What? Need I remind you that it's raining? You want us to climb that Damian?" Ivy asked. Damian ignored her, he bent down before me. "Get on my back" Damian said. "Why?" I asked. "You can't climb the mountain so this would be a lot safer and faster" Damian said.

I had no choice, I hopped on his back. "So you're all just going to....?" Ivy said. "Look Ivy you're free to stay here but we're all climbing that mountain" Silver said. Ivy followed us eventually, We got to the mountain. "Hold on tight" Damian said. I held on to him, they began to climb the mountain. When we eventually got to the top there was nothing there.

"See? This was just a complete waste of time. I wonder why you would listen to her and not me" Ivy said. "Lilith? What do we do now?" Sylvester asked. I walked around for a while, I could still feel something strong from the mountain. "It's here..... I can feel it" I said.

I closed my eyes to examine the mountain, I placed my hand on the mountain and a door appeared. I opened the door and I began to see people with wings. Now this is the Fairy Kingdom. "This is it... This is where we have to go.... For this is the Fairy Kingdom" I said. We all entered the door.
