Chapter 71 {Damian pov}

When we got home, I went to my room and asked Lilith to head to her room cause I knew that I wouldn't be able to resist her if we spent just one more night together.

"Lilith am sure you must be tired why don't you have a rest?" I asked knowing that she wouldn't listen anyway but no to my surprise she just nodded like an obedient puppy and she headed to her room.

Well I don't know if I should be happy or surprised but anyway am glad she didn't argue , at least I can finally get the rest I deserve. I immediately went to shower before any other thing. When I was done, I got into something more comfortable and went to bed.

I tried to sleep but I couldn't, I rolled over and over again but I still couldn't sleep. It felt like something was missing or rather someone. I kinda wished that Lilith hadn't gone to her room. I stood up from the bed, I decided to go out for a stroll.

I walked round the Castle so many times, I honestly don't know how many times I went around the Castle but I still don't feel like sleeping. This is so frustrating, I decided to go out for a hunt. Probably by the time I get back I might be exhausted.

I went into the forest to hunt but unfortunately there were no animals in the forest. It's like mother nature is looking down on me right now and she's mocking me. "I get it Mother nature but I wouldn't accept defeat that easily" I said.

I wouldn't end up going to Lilith's room. I am stronger than that, I am a King, I can't accept defeat. I have to resist this temptation. I returned to the Castle, I decided to go to the library so I could clear my head. Malcolm entered the library. "Your Majesty" Malcolm said. "Malcolm.... What brings you here?" I said.

"I was wondering why you're here" Malcolm said. "I was just going through the plans on how to help our people" I said. "What plans Your Majesty? I clearly can't see you with any paper" Malcolm said. "It's not written on a paper, it's in my head" I said. Malcolm smiled as he walked up to me.

"What's bothering you Your Majesty?" Malcolm aaked. "I just don't know what to do..... There's no food, no water, my people are dying" I said. "I bet Lilith's also one of the reasons why you're like this right?" Malcolm asked. I let out a sigh of frustration.

"Is it that obvious?" I asked. "Not really, it's only a person without eyes that wouldn't notice it" Malcolm said with a soft laugh. "What do you think Malcolm? About Lilith? Do you think she's strange?" I asked. "I think she's not strange at all" Malcolm said. "Malcolm I need your sincerity right now" I said.

"I.... Well Your Majesty, I don't mean to be rude but I think she's rather strange. Lilith I once knew is calm, gently, outspoken and somewhat stubborn but the Lilith I see now is wild, erotic and if you don't mind me saying your Majesty different. Ever since she woke up, I don't feel like she's the real person we knew. I don't know if you've noticed your Majesty but anytime I'm around her, I could feel this Vampire presence and I know you have too. So I'd leave you to judge this matter" Malcolm said

Lilith being a Vampire? I don't believe it, I know I've felt a Vampire presence before in my room but when I opened my eyes I saw Lilith. There could be a logical explanation, maybe a misunderstanding?

"Hmm..... I highly doubt it. Namaari said she needs time to recover and as for the Vampire issue it could be a coincidence... You can't possibly think that she's a Vampire" I said. "I apologize for my incompetence Your Majesty.... I must have been mistaken" Malcolm said.

"You're too modest" I said. "I'd leave you to concentrate on your plans" Malcolm said. He winked at me before leaving. I was left speechless. I went to my room but the problem is that I still couldn't sleep.

I reluctantly went to Lilith's room, I can't believe I ended up going to her room after everything. I didn't go through the front door, I actually went through the window.

I sat on the window admiring Lilith for so many hours. Honestly I prefer watching her sleep, it quite comforting. I was so lost in thoughts that I didn't notice Lilith wasn't sleeping. "Are you going to join or do you need a special invitation?" Lilith asked. Her voice made me snap back to reality.

"How long do you intend to watch me sleep?" Lilith asked. Honestly I could watch her sleep all day long. "Why aren't you sleeping?" I asked. "How could I? You chased me out of your room remember?" She replied with a frown on her face. I sigh. "I needed to get some things done" I said. "It's fine, why don't you come join me on the bed so we could both sleep" Lilith said.

I eventually joined her on the bed, she had her hands rapped around my waist. We both snuggled underneath the blanket and we both went to sleep.

The next morning, I heard the door open wide. "Your Majesty!!" Malcolm yelled as he entered Lilith's room. I turned around and I gave him the signal to be quiet. "You may go" I said in a whisper. Malcolm left, I looked at Lilith. I wonder why she still pretends to be fast asleep. I felt her fingers on my face few minutes before Malcolm entered the room.

"I know you're awake.... So you can open your eyes now" I said. She immediately opened her eyes. "Good Morning" She said. "Morning.... Did you sleep well?" I asked. "Mhm" She replied with a smile. "I have to go now" I said. "Aww... Why?" She asked.

"I need to take care of something.... I'd be back before you know it" I said. "Promise?" She asked. "I promise" I replied. I went to my room, I got ready and I immediately went down to know what the problem was. I met Silver heading downstairs as well.

"What do you think is the problem?" Silver asked. "I have no idea" I said. We both went down to see everyone gathered in the throne room. I sat down on my throne. "What is the matter?" I asked. "I've seen the course of the issue... and I've solved it" Diamond said. "So the people are cured? The waters are back?" Sylvester asked. "Yes" Diamond said.

"But there's a problem" Silver said. "What is it?" I asked. "You know King Cyprian's kingdom is just outside the border, the same thing that happened to us, happened to them" Silver said. "Oh no, this is bad" Ivy said. "King Cyprian sent a message saying that he would come to our kingdom so we could assist them the very little we have" Silver said.

"Hmm.. Since our crops are healthy and the waters are flowing.... I suggest Malcolm takes some guards to Cyprian's Kingdom with food, clothes and water as must as you could carry.... Diamond would come up with a cure for his people while I await his arrival" I said.

"Very well" Silver said. Everyone left the throne room except Diamond. "Damian I'd like to have word with you" Diamond said.
