Chapter 85

I woke up the next morning. I felt something hairy on my face. Was it a dog? Or a pillow? I couldn't tell the difference all I know is that it is fluffy and cozy. I rapped my hand around it. I'm too lazy to check what I'm sleeping with.

The door swung open. "Miss!! Prince Benjamin!!..." The lady screamed as she entered my room. I raised my head. "Shh" I said. I looked at the fluffy pillow but it wasn't a pillow. It was Benjamin sleeping like a log. "Oh thank goodness" She said with relief.

I stood up from the bed, Benjamin rapped his hands around my waist. "You're awake" I said. Come to think of it how did he get here? I don't remember him sleeping with me last night.

"Go to your room, I'd be with you shortly" I said. Thank goodness he obediently left. I went to shower, got into something comfortable before heading to his room.

I went to Benjamin's room, I convinced him to shower brush his teeth and now we're heading downstairs for breakfast. We got there, I noticed everyone staring at me. I sat beside Benjamin. King Asmodeus was surprised for some reason.

When we were done with breakfast, I decided to meet Diamond but Benjamin wouldn't leave my sight. He followed me everywhere. I met Diamond sitting peacefully In a spot. I sat down with her. "What are you doing?" I asked. "Trying to find my inner peace" She replied.

"Inner peace? Like yoga?" I asked. "Yes" She replied. Diamond began to do some weird pose. "I see you've brought your child along with you" Diamond said.

"My child? No, no, no. He's just a bundle of cuteness" I said as I squeezed Benjamin's cheeks. "He likes you... That's why he's so close to you. He's like a lost puppy" Diamond said. She placed her feet behind her back. I wonder if it doesn't hurt her.

"He's a cute puppy" I said. I tried to inmate Diamond. "By the way where's Silver?" I asked. "I don't know... He might be in the Tavern or something" Diamond said. I did a pose where I had to put my legs on my neck and I got stuck.

"Diamond.... I'm stuck" I said as I tries to break free. Diamond just laughed at me, she eventually helped me out. "What's on your mind?" I asked. "Nothing" Diamond replied. "Come on Diamond you have never done yoga back in our Kingdom. What's up?" I asked.

Diamond sigh. "I've been having a bad feeling lately" She said. "Bad feeling? About what?" I asked. "Don't worry... It's nothing to worry yourself about" She said. Well if she said there was no need to worry then why should I?

I left Diamond. I took Benjamin to the play room, we played a lot of games. We played hide and seek, we played board games. We even played the damsel in distress.

I was the Damsel while Benjamin was my knight in shiny armor. The game came to an end when I was informed King Asmodeus summoned me. I let Benjamin's room to answer the King.

"You sent for me Your Majesty" I said. "Yes, come in" He said. I entered his private study. "I'm impressed about the fact that you did what no maid to do the minute you got here" King Asmodeus said.

"What's that?" I asked. "Helping my son and not end up dead" He said. I let out a weird smile. "That aside... I'm curious as to who are you?" King Asmodeus asked. "Oh.. I'm Lilith" I said.

"I already know your name. I mean who are you to King Damian?" He asked. "Oh... I work for him" I said. "You work for him? Does King Damian carry all his workers in his arms?" He asked. "Um.. I have no idea what you're talking about Your Majesty. I'm but a faithful servant to his Majesty" I said.

"I am no fool human. I know you and Damian have a love connection" He said. "You're mistaken.... We.... I.... You have the wrong idea" I said. "Are you saying that I'm wrong?" He asked with a serious face. "Yes... I mean No.... Maybe" I said

He leaned close to me. "Don't worry... It would be our little secret" King Asmodeus said. I heard a big crash from behind us. I saw Damian standing behind us and a broken mirror. He must have punched the mirror, I looked at his hand and he was bleeding.

I rushed to him, he had that murderous look in his eyes. I used my dress to wipe his blood. "Are you alright?" I asked him but he was too mad to reply. What did I do this time?. He dragged me outside. He took me to the garden, I stood behind a tree and Damian punched the tree so hard that I felt it move.

"What did he do to you?" He asked. "N... Nothing.. He didn't do anything" I said. "Why were you with him alone?" Damian asked. "He... Um... He was asking after his son, that's all" I said. "I don't want you to take to any man except me. You are mine" He said.

I'm his? What does he mean? Do I look like a toy? Perhaps he's drunk. "Are you drunk?" I asked. Damian seemed pissed when I asked him that question. "Get out" He said. "What? It was a joke" I said. "I said GET OUT!!" He yelled.

"I'm not leaving you" I said. Damian's eyes became even more red than before, I noticed he seemed angry. Damian struggled to keep cool while I refused to leave him. "Go away" He said but I refused. He pushed me so hard that I sprained my ankle. He didn't even stop he just disappeared in to thin air.

I tried to stand up but I couldn't. Luckily for me Benjamin came to me, he helped me to my room. "Don't blame him, He's not himself". Benjamin said. I looked at him in shock. This is the first time I've heard him speak. Miss Margaret came to my room minutes later. She helped me with some meds. Miss Margaret is the lady that takes care of Benjamin.

I went down for dinner later in the evening. I ignored Damian, then I noticed King Asmodeus had a black eye. I wonder what happened to him.
