Chapter 118

I stayed in my room the whole day. I was scared to leave my room cause of Damien, I know he's upset right now, so it would be best if I stay out of sight for a while.

Later in the Evening, I decided to go downstairs for dinner. I entered the bathroom to take a shower. When I done, I wore something comfortable for dinner.

I brushed my hair before applying some perfume. Now that I'm set for dinner. "What would I say when I get there?" I asked myself. "Maybe I would apologize.... No maybe I would start crying before apologizing or maybe apologize before crying? Argh!! This is so frustrating" I said.

I was contemplating on what to do then I heard a loud scream. It was so loud that all the mirrors in my room broke and I swear I almost lost my ears. I don't know who's screaming but from what I could tell the person must be suffering.

I fell on my knees, I placed my hands on my ears to stop myself from hearing the scream. Few minutes later the scream stopped. Diamond came to my room, she met me kneeling on the ground. She was saying something but I couldn't hear her cause my ears were ringing.

Diamond placed her hands on my cheeks. "Lilith can you hear me?" Diamond asked. I nodded. "Are you alright?" Diamond asked. "Yes" I replied slowly. She helped me to my feet.

"I'm not the only one who heard it right? You heard it too right?" I asked. "Yes" Diamond replied. "What was that?" I asked. "Silver just informed me that it came from Benjamin's room" Diamond said.

"What? Is he alright? Is he hurt? I need to see him" I said. "Lilith you need to rest, you're weak" Diamond said. "I'm fine, I need to see him first" I said. Diamond had no choice but to accompany me to Benjamin's room.

We both got to Benjamin's room. We saw everyone present in the room. I was so surprised to see Benjamin standing beside his Father. What the heck is going on? "I'm sorry Your Majesties if my daughter woke you up for your nap" Vida said.

"Is she alright?" Ella asked. "Yes she's fine" Vida replied. "What happened?" I asked. "She had a nightmare.... I'm deeply sorry.... I should have informed you earlier about it" Vida asked. "Does this happen frequently?" Diamond asked.

"Only when she has a nightmare" Vida replied. "You should have informed us about this..... Now she ruined my beauty sleep" Ivy said. "The world doesn't evolve around you Ivy" Ella said. Ivy scoffed. Diamond walked up to Taytum who sat on her bed shaking in fear.

"Would you like to talk about your nightmare? Diamond asked" Taytum just shook her head. "Let's leave the child to rest" Silver said. "I would go get her a potion to help calm her down and help her sleep in the process" Diamond said to Vida.

"Thank you" Vida said. "I'd join you" I said to Diamond. Diamond agreed, Vida went to calm Taytum. Diamond and I made our way to the door. "You were in my nightmare" Taytum said. Diamond and I paused.

"Me?" Diamond asked. "No.... Her" She said while pointing at me. "Me" I asked while pointing at myself. "Yes" Taytum said. I looked at everyone in the room before going closer to Taytum.

"Why was I in your dream?" I asked. "I don't know..... But in the dream you looked sad and angry... It was like I could feel your pain. You hurt yourself.... You... You kept screaming and I don't know why. Then it changed... I saw a lady... A beautiful lady, she seemed close to you..."

"You both were laughing and smiling... And even holding hands... I don't know what happned next but it felt like she was taken away from you. Then I heard a woman's voice saying, I always keep my word.... An eye for an eye lilith. You better be prepared for my next move" Taytum said.

My gut tells me that woman is non other than Ixia but the other lady I have no idea who she is. I looked at Vida in fear... I swear my entire body was shaking. I tried my best to pull myself together. Hasn't she done enough damage already? The curse wasn't enough? Now she wants more?

The atmosphere became intense, It was as thou the oxygen had been drained from the room. Diamond came to me. "Let's go outside" Diamond said. I looked at Diamond and I could no longer fight back the tears that was about coming down my cheeks.

"Why? What else does she want from me? Making my life miserable isn't enough for her? Why wouldn't she let me live in peace?" I asked Diamond. "Lilith.... Let's go outside" Diamond said. "I.... I can't take this anymore" I said as I placed my head on Diamond's shoulders.

Someone held my hand and pulled me for a tight hug. I couldn't help but bury my face on the chest. The chest was hard and the perfume was dominating. I knew in an instant that it was Damien so I hugged him even tighter. "Do you want to go outside?" He asked gently.

I just nodded my head. He picked up up and took me outside. He carried me for heaven knows how long, I could only hear water flowing, birds singing and the wind was howling. "Would you like me to put you down?" Damien asked. "No" I replied with my head still buried on his chest.

Damien didn't say another word, he just carried me silently. He has been silent for awhile... Is he still mad at me? Does he hate me?. I looked at Damien. "I... I'm sorry about what happened earlier. I shouldn't have said all those nasty things.... I... I'm sorry" I said in an innocent voice.

"The weather is nice.... So is the view" Damien said. I knew it.... He's mad at me. He would have just told me that he's still upset than for him to change the subject. Since he's mad at me then there's no reason for him to carry me. "Put me down" I said.

He gently placed me down and the view left me speechless. We were on a tree... Not just a tree but the tallest tree ever. I looked down and we were thousands of feet away from the ground. I immediately held Damien and hugged him tight.

"Don't you like the view?" Damien asked. "No" I replied. "Good.... The same was I didn't like the way you spoke to me today" Damien said. "But I apologized" I said. "I know but you need to learn your lesson" Damien said.

"Are you going to throw me down like before?" I asked. "No, I promised myself I wouldn't do that again but I wouldn't hesitate to do it again if you disobey me" Damien said. "I...." I said but words couldn't come to my mouth.

"You need to understand Lilith that you are important to me and I wouldn't was to see you get hurt..... Look at me" Damien said. I looked him in the eyes. "Like it or not, I would always protect you..... I wouldn't let you get hurt. You mean so much more to me than you can possibly imagine" Damien said.

"Why? Why do you care so much about me?" I asked. "I can't explain but one things certain and it's that I don't want to see you get hurt" Damien said. He caressed my cheeks and he gently kissed me on the lips. It felt so magical.
