Hearing Luffy's decision, everyone smiled.
Some had big smiles while some had small ones. Luffy's decision might be risky, but every second they spent on this sea was at risk.
It was Grandline for a reason.
So, they had no hesitation in taking risks, especially for their crew.
"But, how are we going to do that?" Law asked.
When he said that, everyone's eyes fell on him, filled with anger and disappointment.
Seeing this, Law angrily shouted.
"It's not my fault for asking this question. It is a legitimate question. How are you going to find someone who will not even be in this world?"
Hearing that, Luffy's anger disappeared, replaced by confusion as he shook his head and said.
"I don't know."
Law's forehead twitched, but before he could speak, Sanji interrupted.
"It's not like we know anything about his situation. And even if we ask him, he won't tell us the truth. I don't know if you have realized this or not."
"Liam knows specific things about the world. It's not like he knows the future but rather certain things."
"He was genuinely surprised when Luffy managed to learn Advanced Armament and Observation after his battle with Enel."
"He knew Luffy was talented, but even he didn't think it was possible. Which meant in the future, Luffy had to go through much more troublesome battles to learn Advanced Haki."
Hearing that, Law raised his eyebrows as he stared at Luffy. He didn't expect Luffy to do something so impressive, but seeing everyone's reaction, he felt even more confused.
"Is it hard to learn Haki?" Bonney raised her hand and asked.
"Of course, it's hard. Unless you have gone through several life and death battles or you have proper guidance, it is impossible to awaken Haki."
"This moss head here has trained his entire life, but the first one to awaken Haki was Luffy. Although Luffy also trained, his training wasn't systematic."
"So, just through a simple guidance of Haki, he managed to awaken during a life and death battle."
Hearing that, Bonney raised her hand and asked.
"Does that mean I can also awaken Haki?"
Sanji quickly shook his head.
"It's gonna be hard. There are two restrictions to awaken Haki. First is Willpower, and second is limit breakthrough."
"You see, a person without Haki has to face a door. This door is inside his body. To awaken Haki, one must break this door."
"You can either break this door with Willpower, or you need a lot of strength to break it."
"And, I am not just talking about physical strength. You also need mental strength. How much experience do you have, how much pressure can you handle, how much aura or killing intent do you have?"
"All of these are powers that can help you awaken Haki. You already know the types of Haki, right?"
Bonney quickly nodded her head.
Although everyone else knew about it, they didn't disturb Sanji as he continued.
"To awaken Observation Haki, one must train their five senses to the extreme limit. That means mastering your mental strength. A type of power that spreads out of your body as a thin vibration."
"Only those who have trained their senses to the extreme can sense this vibration. Through this vibration, you can find your opponent's next move, sense their numbers, feel their emotions, and even read their mind."
"That last one is far too hard, almost impossible. So, if you want to awaken Observation Haki, you must use your mental strength to break that door."
"We have gone through a simple yet effective method to break that door. But some people can't do that. So, they rely on their powerful Willpower, especially during the battle, to break that door."
"It's the same as breaking your limits and becoming superhuman. A similar thing happens when you awaken Armament Haki. But instead of mental strength, you need physical strength."
"You need to squeeze out a last bit of your strength into your body as armor. This requires an extreme level of Willpower or strength. Of course, if you combine both, it will be much easier."
"Anyway, what do you need to know about Haki. We were talking about something else, right?"
Bonney nodded and stuck out her tongue.
"Sorry for disturbing!"
Everyone else, except Law, chuckled while Sanji continued.
"So Liam knows the future, but he knows a certain direction, a certain future that will happen, but without his existence. Think about it for a moment."
"If he knows we can't win against the Marines, will he ask us to fight them?"
Luffy and everyone else shook their heads instantly.
Robin chuckled and said.
"If that was Luffy, I might believe it."
"Yeah, Luffy would've run straight to fight an Admiral." Usopp nodded.
"Humph! I am not that stupid." Luffy stuck out his tongue and snorted.
"Yeah, yeah, we know that."
Everyone in the crew rolled their eyes.
Luffy might not have been stupid not but he was a complete idiot before. They couldn't help but sigh.
'We feel your effort, Liam. Thank you for doing so much for us.'
Everyone, even Robin, had the same thought in her heart. Because they knew, especially those who followed Luffy from East Blue knew just how stupid he was.
He might have grown smarter, and it might have been natural, but it wasn't enough to change him completely.
"In other words, what Liam knows might not have anything to do with the world's future. Instead, it should've been something to do with our future."
"Our future without him."
That raised some eyebrows. Robin narrowed her eyes and asked.
"Are you suggesting that Liam might not be from the future or even this world?"
Sanji puffed out some smoke and nodded.
"If Liam were with us, everything he did would make sense. In other words, saving Ace also makes sense. With our power, it shouldn't be a problem to save Ace."
"But Ace died. At least, Ace's death is the future that Liam knows about. That means the future that he knows is the future without him influencing us and the world."
"I don't know how this is possible. But it's almost like he knows us without being connected to our world."
Suddenly, Robin looked horrified.
"What happened, Robin?" Luffy saw her expression and anxiously asked.
Robin took some deep breaths and said.
"I just thought of a possibility. It's something that Doctor of Ohara told me when I was a kid."
Several hands appeared in the library room. The hand caught one of the books and slowly moved out of the room.
It threw the book at Robin, who caught the book and opened it.
It was a picture book, telling an adventurer's story.
"He once told me that if there is a God in our world, he must be someone who sees us as Characters in a book."
"Hiss! How is this possible?"
"Robin-san, you are insane?"
"Hey!" Luffy angrily glared at Law, who called his girlfriend insane. Simply because he didn't understand this.
"You must be kidding, Robin. How can our lives be simply a story book?" Nami shook her head, unable to accept this statement.
On the other hand, Franky replied.
"I mean, there is some level of truth to it. Do you think the characters of the book know they are in the book?"
Robin shook her head and said.
"It was just an example. I am not saying that we are inside a book. But rather, that's how a god will see us."
"What? Liam is a God?"
Luffy didn't connect to much of it. But from what he learned, this was the conclusion he came up with.
He snapped his fist on his palm and said.
"That makes so much sense."
Bang!
Robin helplessly slapped Luffy on the head and said.
"What I am saying is that Liam might be someone outside this world. If Liam were from outside, he would know major events of the world."
"But he wouldn't know everything because he sees our world as a book."
"Dimension!"
Sanji spoke with a serious tone.
He turned toward Luffy and said.
"Luffy, we are dealing with something very serious here."
Luffy gave him a confused look, so Sanji had to explain.
"You know about my background. I know a lot of things about science and technology. But since I was small, there were only specific things that I knew."
"One of the things that I learned was about Dimension. It was a textbook that we had. It was written by Doctor Vegapunk."
"According to him, we live in a three-dimensional world. That is our world characterized by length, width, and height. Picture books and words don't have three dimensions."
"They only have two dimensions. But in that book, Vegapunk questioned what if, just like how we see the world in three dimensions, those characters also see their worlds in three dimensions."
"What if our perception adds a dimension to our world?"
