Luffy's and Robin's Date Part 1

Hearing that, Robin gave a small smile and patted Luffy's shoulder.

"Don't worry, whether we want it or not, Whitebeard can not leave the Marineford alive; otherwise Marines will completely lose their face."

Luffy's mood didn't get any better. Because he realized if Ace wanted to get stronger, he would've to sacrifice his Captain.

This was one thing Luffy was having a hard time accepting.

Even so, Luffy knew the important thing was to give Ace motivation for getting stronger.

"I really don't like this. I miss Liam."

Luffy mumbled as he walked away. Before all of this, he could simply rely on Liam and let him handle everything.

But now, he was the one facing every situation. Even if it was for a short time, Luffy felt distorted and helpless.

If he were as careless as before, this wouldn't have happened. But he clearly wasn't. That's exactly the problem.

"Umm! If he is gone….." Buggy pointed at Luffy and looked at Robin with a questioning gaze.

"Luffy doesn't need to care about this." Robin replied.

Zoro nodded and said.

"As long as he can understand his position and role in the crew, it is enough."

Nami saw Luffy walking away and quickly turned toward Bonney. Since Bonney didn't need to hide her identity anymore, Nami cared about her like a little girl.

"Bonney, you should go with Luffy. He is going to the kitchen."

"Food!"

Bonney got excited when she heard the word 'kitchen' and rushed toward Luffy.

"So, we are going to fight Marines because they want to eliminate us first before fighting Whitebeard Pirates."

"Well, we are going to fight Marines for another reason as well."

Robin mysteriously smiled as she remembered something. This time her smile didn't disappear in a few seconds.

Instead, it never went away. It just made her look even more beautiful.

"I admit it is rare for Luffy to remember something like that." Zoro saw that smile and immediately knew what she remembered and spoke gently.

To be fair, he was surprised when Luffy said something like that the day before Liam left.

"Well, so did he leave any plans for this battle? Where did he go? When will he arrive?"

"Two days later! For now, let's just handle those two crews and ready our fleet for the next battle."

Zoro replied.

Buggy folded his hands and nodded.

"Alright, Galdino can handle these things. So, do you have anything important to do in these two days?"

"Nope! Let's just enjoy these two days in Sabody."

Robin shook her head and replied.

"Then, I will go for a walk!"

Zoro waved goodbye, but before he could leave, Usopp and Chopper held onto him.

"Where the hell are you going alone? This island is massive. Do you understand how long it will take us to find you?"

"Yeah! Yeah! What he said."

Zoro got angrily embarrassed and pointed at the tree.

"Can't I just read the tree number and follow it?"

Only then did Usopp and Chopper see the number written on the tree, which was 41, and react.

"Oh yeah, I didn't expect you to find such a detail, Zoro. I was wrong about your eyesight problem."

Chopper patted Zoro on the shoulder before jumping down.

"Don't worry, Zoro! With Law here, we will find a cure for your getting lost disease."

Hearing that, Zoro's face turned red before he jumped from the ship.

"Whatever!"

He snorted and walked away.

"Pfft! Did you see his face?" Robin chuckled and asked.

"Yeah, it's fun to tease him every time." Usopp nodded with a smile.

"Does he really get lost so much?" Law couldn't help but ask.

"You have just joined the crew, so you don't know much. But he gets lost every single time. Even if the destination is straight ahead of him." Nami shook her head and explained.

"That's awesome."

What else could Law say? When you could get lost in a straight line, there should be no cure to your disease.

Unless you were blind. Zoro was not. So, in his eyes, Zoro had a mysterious disease of getting lost.

"So what about you guys?" Usopp asked curiously.

"I planned to go shopping with Liam, but he is not here. So, I will go with Kemi." Nami spoke with some depression.

"I plan to go shopping with Luffy." Robin mysteriously smiled and answered.

"He can do that?" Nami sounded like she heard some kind of joke. Because in her eyes, the only time Luffy could spend together with Robin was during training or learning.

Maybe eating as well. Since Robin would feed him.

"Well, I convinced him." Robin chuckled and replied. To be exact, it was Liam who convinced him.

Luffy did like being with Robin, but he still wanted to play like a kid. That's who he was deep down.

So, despite his change, he liked playing with Chopper and Usopp.

But because of Liam's advice on Love, he wanted to feel the difference in the time he spent with Robin.

While training, they didn't do much. But while learning, Robin taught him a lot of things.

A lot of adult things!

Luffy didn't realize he was a shy type, especially when Robin started to get really naughty with him.

But he didn't hate that feeling. Instead, he loved it and enjoyed it. It's like his primal desire was being fulfilled.

So, he wanted to see if going shopping with Robin would be the same. That's why he agreed.

And, he was going to regret it real soon.

After Nami took Kemi to the shopping district of Sabody, Luffy also finished eating and left with Robin.

Bonney wanted to join, but Usopp and Chopper managed to distract her since it was Luffy's first date.

"So, where are we going, Robin?"

Luffy asked.

"Why don't you decide, Luffy?" Robin replied. She was holding his arm in her arms while sticking close to him.

At first, she felt a bit uncomfortable acting like this, but she got intoxicated soon.

She didn't realize it herself. But she had no proper childhood.

She was lonely and treated as a monster in Ohara. The only people who treated her good were the professors and doctors of Ohara.

She only had one good friend, but he died at the hands of the man who let her live.

She kept running from people, surviving alone and always desperate. Her life was a mess.

It was chaotic and full of misery. Because of this, the only good time she had was when she was with Crocodile.

But during that time, she had to do things she didn't like. Her heart was never at peace, always filled with guilt and depression.

All of that disappeared when she joined this crew. Everyone treated her life as a family and protected her despite not knowing her for a long time.

She knew this crew also needed her ability, which was why Liam invited her.

She didn't care at first. She just treated them as any other pirate group. But as she slowly began to see the difference, she was glad she had joined them.

After the battle with Aokiji, she felt like she was in the hands of people who protected her.

For the first time in her life, she was happy with her knowledge. She was happy that she knew things that could help this crew.

But this happiness quickly faded when she realized Liam's knowledge.

It was better than hers. He knew so many things that even she didn't know.

This was a hard pill to swallow, but she realized that she might not be so important to this crew.

This realization hit her hard.

Harder than she might have expected. When she was full of misery, full of depression and sadness, this crew became her only hope and an umbrella that could protect her.

But when she couldn't show her worth, she panicked. She panicked hard. Every breath became harder for her.

Every second became shorter. As if her life would end at any moment.

She hadn't found the true history. She hadn't enjoyed her life.

She didn't want to die. She didn't want to be abandoned. She didn't want to leave this crew.

On a desperate attempt to show her worth, she confessed to Luffy.

Then, she didn't feel relieved. She didn't feel good. She felt guilty. She felt as if she had betrayed them.

It was a heart-wrenching pain that struck her.

She felt like she had messed up everything.

That was when Luffy took her confession and accepted it. She didn't think she had fooled him.

She knew even if she could, others would find that and kick her out.

But none of that happened. Instead, Luffy accepted her and made her realize that there were people who could accept her without showing any worth.

She realized Luffy accepted her not because of guilt or to make her happy.

He simply accepted her because she was a good person.
