Episode Thirty Eight

In times of evil, good always prevail. The underdog that people shunned will always come out victorious.

"So, the little brat is where Wang Feng-Huang hid his lotus aura. I had my suspicions, but wasn't too sure." Fong Woo said to Feng Gao, as he laughed happily. "Now, all Hu Delun has to do is to get the little Prospector to trust him. And we will be golden."

Feng Gao poured himself a cup of tea, and slowly sipped it. His eyes are not looking anywhere in Fong Woo's direction, but on the table he is sitting around. He poured himself another cup, before he looked up and smirked at Fong Woo.

"What?" Fong Woo narrowed his eyes on him.

"The boy's sister accepted my proposal." Gao twirled  his left pointer finger in the air, making the tea slush around in the cup.

"Is that so?" Fong Woo came and sat down beside him. A black rat running about his shoulders, as he uses his fingers to teased it. Before breaking its neck with a snap of his fingers.

"That is just cruel." Feng Gao said without realizing.

Fong Woo fanned him off with a careless wave. "It was just a rat, and I am just using it for target practice for when I get my hands on Wang Lei." Fong Woo clapped his hands three times, and half of a dozen zombie-like creatures came rushing in. Fong Woo threw the dead rat to them, and a ruckus began as they fought for it. Fong Woo laughed as he watched his puppets tear each other apart to get to the rat.

Feng Gao made a face of disgust as he watched the scene in front of him. He might be a cruel man, but he has his limits. And watching puppets that used to be humans fighting over a harmless rat was one of his little limits. Fong Woo is really a madman, and him being around that orb everyday is making him worse.

"So, what were you saying about Wang Lei sister?"Fong Woo asks, snapping Feng Gao's attention away from the nasty scene in front of him.

"Ah, yes. The girl accepted my proposal, and her parents went along with it as well."

"With what your saying, and the smug look on your face. I would guess that it was quite easy on your part?" Fong Woo pursed his lips, and raised his eyebrows impressively at Feng Gao.

"Yes, I already told you that the girl is blinded by high class and nice things. She is one of those young women that wants the highest things in life, even though she is at the lowest level. I could see from that day when I met her at the well, that she envied the rich and also wanted that kind of life for herself. So I just popped up at her home, told her that I know she is the one and she flung herself into my arms. And her parents, I just mentioned that I am good friends with the royal family, which they never took too lightly because of the whole thing with their son or nephew I should say, and the princess. But with me using my charm of acting, I told them that I didn't believe that Kai plotted with you," he pointed at Fong Woo. "To kidnap the princess. And just like that, I am going to wedd their daughter in the next two fortnight." Feng Gao beamed proudly, patting himself on the shoulders for a job well done.

Fong Woo nodded his head, as he stuck out his bottom lip. "So they thought that me and that me and that amiteure was in cahoots? Preposterous!" Fong Woo flung his hands in the air with disbelief.

"I know. They might be cultivators, but some of them aren't that bright." Feng Gao added his two cents.

Fong Woo sighs dramatically. "Anyway, how will marrying Wang Kai's sister or cousin, or whatever they are to each other, help us get to the lotus aura?"

"Look at it this way, when I marry Wang May. That is her name by the way." Feng Gao stopped to tell Fong Woo.

  "Meh, not feeling the name."

"That doesn't matter." Gao gave him an are you kidding me look. "The point is, when I marry her. I will also get an invitation to enter the Winter Sect kingdom, and I can secretly attack Wang Kai and steal his aura and bring it back to you. Or, I wouldn't have to wait so long. Which brother would want to miss their sister's wedding? Even though May and Kai don't have a good brother sister relationship." Feng Gao explained his plan thoroughly. "And here is another good idea, I can even help sneak you into the Drogan's kingdom and we can both get the aura from him, and also ambush the kingdom while we are at it."

"Ah, kill two birds with one stone. I love that idea." Fong Woo clapped his hands together in glee.

They went on and discussed Feng Gao's plan even further, with Fong Woo adding his own ideas to it every now and then. It was after they had started drinking and down two pitchers of rice wine, when Woo asked Feng Gao a question that had him looking at him strangely.

"Do you have any feelings for that girl?"

    "Which girl?" Gao asks, confused.

"The Wang girl." Fong Woo answered with a pout. His youthful face, sporting a blush.

"Her, no. The only thing I like about that girl is her hatred for Kai. Come to think of it, she would gladly contribute to the termination of the boy if I ever suggested it to her."

"Her hatred for her brother is that strong?" Fong Woo asked, now seeming a bit more happy.

"Strong just like her love for riches." Gao took the last sip of his wine. "Why did you ask if I love her?"

Fong Woo turned his face away, avoiding the questionable stares from Feng Gao. How should he answer this? What if Gao think he is crazy….well, crazier than he already thinks. 'I should just lie. Infact, it comes naturally due to the fact that I live mostly discreetly with a lot of lying to get my way .' Fong Woo thought. "No specific reason, I just thought that you were just using the situation as an excuse to get to the girl." That was partly true, but Woo dare not admit it.

"You doubt me, I can't believe that you would think that I would want a simpleton girl like her. I would rather spend time with you crazy goat." Gao nudged Woo's left hand over the table. Making Fong Woo smile.
