Family Love
Nate has been so worried about his dad and unable to visit the man because Janine is due by the end of the month. Meg promised to be the doctor who'll operate or if not deliver their baby girl as soon as she gets back from London. Though I know me and my wife is expecting for the baby to come around the end of the month or maybe within the first week of December, I'm still weirded out by that the fact that my sister will be the one to deliver our baby. I just recently knew that she is part of the LGBT community. I don't have issues with gays or lesbians but I was just thinking how Janine would spread her legs for my sister who would put her fingers or hand on my wife's private. As the doctor she would automatically pull my daughter, her niece out of my wife's womb and all. Oh my God, I don't think I could do it, I mean to be in the same room as my wife and all that blood. I'd be the first to faint and be scared instead of Janine.
Janine could lie awake even if she wanted to and deliver the baby whatever it takes. She's one heck of a brave woman. Meg advised me to watch video clips on how to assist as the husband during his wife's labor pains and while the doctor is engaging his or herself during the duration of the delivery. Ahhh, I saw one video on You Tube and it's disgusting. I love my wife and my daughter but I know I will just embarrass everyone if I'm inside the emergency room for that wonderful experience and that special moment in Janine and our daughter's life. God may I be brave and not faint so that I won't embarrass my wife and daughter in the process. Meg added that she has seen many vaginas and some beautiful, some not so pretty but all are fascinating to her. But out of respect to me, her future niece and her sister in law, she wouldn't take advantage of Janine's situation and respect her. I respect all women and I love them so much to hurt or leave them broken hearted. I make women moan and cry in ecstasy and happiness, not in pain or broken heart. I told her she is the most disgusting person I know and she commented back that I am the most scared cat she knows in the family. Meg and I laughed and both made fun of each other after that chat. Anyway, I asked Carla, Janine and I's closest friend to check up on her while I am away to visit dad in the hospital. Janine wanted to come with me but I convinced her to do that after her delivery. She needs to be walking, eating healthy and resting regularly since she's already due sooner or later this month or the next.
Meg called me earlier to tell me the bad news about what happened to dad and what I needed to do to help them in the hospital. She asked me to buy dad's personal stuff like tissues, alcohols, sanitizers, toothbrushes, soaps, instant food and drinks. Mom brought dad's clothes and underpants. So I don't need to buy some for him. But I decided to buy a shirt, socks, underpants and shorts. He likes to wear simple tops and tight pants. He likes reading too so I bought some books and novels. I'm sure he'll like Hypnotizing Maria by Richard Bach and Love Your Life by Dominique Bertolucci.
These are inspirational pieces that discusses the meaning and value of life. I've read some of these wonderful novels and they really managed to touch me to the core of my heart and soul. It's magnificently written with magnetic and passionate scenes that made me realize that the time is now, to be happy, to do what we want to do and love and to make things happen not only with action but with motivations and the gift of wisdom in writing interesting stories and inform others with their own parts and experiences in life, love, relationship.
I went to St. Thomas Hospital at room 1121. I saw mom sleeping beside dad and kissed her on the forehead. Mom, I'll cover for you this time. I asked Carla to stay with Janine for several days so I could switch to stay here with dad for you in the meantime, I advised mom while she is still scrubbing her eyes with her fingers. Her eye bags are darker than usual and she looked pale. I texted Meg if she'll be coming back soon since I needed to make sure she's home for the surprise birthday party we'll be doing for dad next month. I remember those times when we usually celebrate dad's birthday in resorts and fancy restaurants when Meg and I were small kids. Actually when I thought I was the only child mom and dad would bring me to Disneyland and beach resorts here and in the Philippines. Both of my grandparents live there and it's awesome seeing my relatives' skin color looking exactly the same as mine and Meg's. Though we looked more like Asian foreigners because of how slang our English sounds when we speak or how American we carry ourselves and how fancy we dress, we are still Filipino by blood and by nationality. Meg and I were born U.S. citizens but dad and mom were Filipino by natural birth. However, when dad had his transformation and surgeries, he now looks American and his skin color got lighter. His beard is colored brown and when he blushes, his cheeks turn pink. Mom and dad's skin colors are whiter, but I have darker skin than Meg. Maybe as a doctor she uses creams and all to care for her skin but as a boy growing up, I seldom undergo beauty treatments and play a lot of volley ball and outdoor activities most of the time after school hours.
Mom doesn't want to leave dad so she just positioned herself to sleep in the long couch which looks alright to me for visitors to really sleep into if they needed to. I brought dad some food such as fruit basket and fruit beverages. His test results was sent to us but he still need to undergo ECG and lung X-ray. I asked the nurse in-charge of my dad to contact his doctor so I can talk to him. Dad's old doctor needed to fly to London for the medical conference and Dr. Valdez is the specialist to check up on him with the remaining tests for the last week of his stay here.
Everything seems fine with dad. He sleeps well and whenever he wakes he is calm and happy. Mom is who I'm worried about though that's why aside from calling Meg to come back home for dad's surprise party, I needed to advise her to escort mom home and care for her. I don't want mom to get sick because she hasn't rested enough since she's been caring for dad since day 1, I thought while seated beside dad and looking at his peaceful face as he sleeps in the hospital bed.
Ting!, ting!, ting!, Meg's cellphone sounded and vibrated telling her that she has messages. She had wonderful three nights with Jade and she doesn't want to leave, not yet. But reaching towards the floor for her cellphone, she saw messages from Nate, that she needs to get back to California soon to care for mom since he'll be staying at the hospital with dad for now so that mom can rest for a while, my happiness turned into worry, because I love my parents too and I care about their situation now. So, I kissed Jade on the forehead and smelled her hair, cheeks and neck. I kissed her on the mouth that still tasted strawberries and champagne. Hmm, so sweet, sour and yummy!, I said to myself while visualizing the days and the times we made love on the floor, on the bed, in the tub, shower, kitchen and many more. I want to live and stay here but I needed to get back home soon for my family. Jade mentioned yesterday that she gets back on stage on October 1st. And it's still September 28th, so she still has two days to come with me to visit my family in California. Her show starts at night so she can leave the night before her performance at the theater. Right, I'll tell her to come with me, I hope she says yes, I said to myself like praying and pleading that she would understand.
Jade smiled when Meg kissed her but she also saw how her face changed from happy to worried when she read the messages on her cellphone. She mentioned a while ago that her dad or Uncle Gin had a mild heart attack and she is sad that it happened. Maybe she needs to get back now or what?, Jade thought and said, would you want me to join you to California, besides I still have three days until the play, so?
Oh, my God, that's what I was praying to God, that you come with me to visit dad in the hospital and of course see everybody after ten years, I added so relieved about Jade's proposal.
Okay, then, let's go!, Jade cried smiling. Meg hugged Jade who is still naked when the sheet was accidentally pulled and both women laughed with the incident. Meg covered Jade's breasts but held one and kissed the girl on the mouth with much love and laughed.
