Revelation 3

It's so unfair and now tell me if would be able to tell you who I really was. If you were me would you be able to disclose your true identity?, Jade added still crying thus, handing the scissors to Meg. Okay, sssshhh!, you're okay and I'm here for you. Believe me I know how you feel!, I explained in a casual and honest manner. While Jade is calming down I took the scissors from her hands and threw it to the sink. Though still half naked, I pulled Jade closer to me and hugged her tightly. She wanted to be free from my hugs, but I held her firm so she wouldn't escape, kissed her forehead and cheeks. Her breathing became normal again and is calmer now. I explained to her that I accept her for who she is. But I also added that she can trust me and that she can tell me anything because I wouldn't judge her but still love her no matter what or how weird her life, herself or family is.

Jade looked me straight in the eyes to make sure I wasn't lying. After seeing my eyes not flicker and remained focused and passionate seeing her for the first time. She trembled and like a flashback saw everything she did from day one, when she transformed into a wolf to yesterday when she saved my dear friend Walter. In spite of her deceit and her secrets, I loved her and continue to adore her as I did the first time I kissed her on the beach at Ocean View. Jade started to cry again and buried her face on my bare chest, my breasts now wet from her gallon of tears. I cupped her cute face, cuddled her vulnerable frame, smiled, and kissed her mouth like there's no tomorrow.

Once upon a time in a dark forest there lived a tree and her name is Me. She loves the trees surrounding their land and there's never a dull moment since the birds, insects and animals of the wild roams free in this place. Then one day a wood cutter came and cut some trees for wood and fireplace. Me allowed it and though she doesn't own the forest, it is still her home and she wanted to protect it. One wood cutter became two, three, four, until there are hundreds of them coming in and out of the land. Then, machines came to cut the oldest and tallest timbers in the land, but I didn't allow it to happen. I summoned my fellow trees to block the way towards our kingdom but the humans have guns, fire power and forklifts. We lost and soon, the wild animals we adored roaming in our forest one by one disappeared. Our old and tall trees gone and our rainforest left for dead. I wonder what will happen now. Did you know that I got arrested from stopping the humans to cut our ancient trees in our own land, our own forest, our own seedlings that we helped grow, water, sun, care and protect for many years?.

I came to my friend, You, and she is like a sister to me. She is human and she is laying in a hospital bed. I came to see her but since I'm not allowed to visit, a poor, sick and rotten tree because of the toxic chemicals that humans threw in the seas and the oils used to burn many lands to flatten and clear it from timbers or debris. You was happy to see Me but she said that it's too late to save the forest, our land. I said no, there's still hope as long as there is You to plant, grow and protect trees. I said my goodbyes to You and she cried. Don't cry sister, we will see each other again in time, but for now I need to seek a place somewhere else I am accepted and loved, protected and nurtured. You felt sad and promised to do something when she gets out of the hospital, she...

What are you reading?, Alexa asked while Gin is so quiet eyeing a book she hasn't seen before. Ah it's about a Tree and her name is Me. I read this book to Meg when she was five years and I think I never read it to her again after so many years. I just missed reading you know, it calms the soul and refreshes the mind. And this book has purpose. I wonder if we can really do something about our environment. Climate change or global warming are still an issue today, Gin explained while closing the page of the book and placing it on the bed side table. Alexa and Gin are about to sleep though it's just 8:30 pm.

Yes, I believe we can still do something about our environment. I heard about the news and issues on climate change at the café. Sanjay and Basil always talks about it when we gather at the kitchen for snacks. But what can we do?, Alexa asked while pulling the blanket to cover her chest. Well, we can promote climate strikes and join the fight with Greta Thunberg. I watched a You Tube interview that leaders or scientists don't even know what to do about global warming because it isn't easy to fix. But I have an idea about it and maybe we can do something, this time, Gin said kissing Alexa on the lips and laid beside her while hugging her.

One Peepal tree or commonly called as sacred fig is a special timber that releases 24 hour oxygen for a family of four. If scientists or geniuses of the world couldn't think of the best way to fight climate change and solve global warming, I think they're just ignoring the facts with what trees can offer the world especially in this time of crises. Let's get back to basics and check on the benefits trees give and it starts with providing oxygen for planet earth. A single tree gives out one day's worth of oxygen for four people. A tree is a national coolant and purifies air. It is a living thing that definitely saves us money. It is also a power investor which lowers our electric bills and emission combater which absorbs carbon emissions from fossil fuels, coal mining and factory smokes. Trees protect our lands from floods, taxes and typhoons when they hit the mountains.

These precious beauties can save energy through their cooling shade (from the leaves and trunks they have) in the summer and wind reduction in the winter. But most especially and definitely not the least, trees reduces our stress and improves our health including the mother earth's physical and atmospheric conditions.

Who says we can't fix climate change? If we just really try to sit down and draw a mind map for the step by step ways on how to solve it, we won't get anywhere but solve poverty, injustice and famine first than the true reason why we get sick is because of earth's long overdued illness.

Some business entrepreneurs wouldn't think about the environment as long as they profit from the trees they cut, from nature they use up and or animals they use for their products and all. We must wake up now and see the bigger picture. We are on the brink of destruction and we are the ones doing that not Mother Earth or Climate Change. We are the caretakers of the world and we must see to it that it is being taking cared of the right way. Earth is like a woman we need to nurture, love, caress, be compassionate of her cries, anger and sighs. She is pleading for mercy for the many times we have raped and took advantage of her resources until she couldn't give anymore. She is totally used up, wasted up to the brim, She is calling for help and begging us to revive and replenish her natural resources.

Earth need us and she needs our support, our care to be passionate for her and respect her. We have been too greedy and selfish that we forgot that she is important and that she has feelings too. Others will oppose to the idea that it's expensive to plant seeds and trees. But we don't realize that if we continue to act like there's nothing wrong and that we don't need trees in our environment, we will wake up one day in a shattered world with no trees, food to eat, families to feed and animals to consume, pet or appreciate their beauty and splendor roaming the wilderness.

We don't see the great impact of losing the rainforests or the ice glaciers because we focus on gaining power, earning money and becoming rich. We are experiencing the effects of global warming, hence, we still continue to destroy nature and build condominiums on mountainous parts of our cities, in the expense of trees and nature's biodiversity.
