Interrogation

The atmosphere is somewhat heavy but Shido stays his smile.

He thought to sit beside Kotori but she immediately hops to another sofa after he does that.

Shido got surprised and thought that there is something wrong with Kotori today.

He was about to initiate the talk when she got first.

"Who are you?"

This immediately stunts him.

He feels weird and confused too.

"What are you talking about?"

"Who are you?"

Kotori's expression is very serious right now and when he saw this, he thought to just answer her.

"Itsuka Shido, the brother of you, Itsuka Kotori."

"Liar. I'm being kind to you right now so if you didn't tell who you are…"

Suddenly, the people from the Ratatoskr expose themselves surrounding him while holding a large gun.

It's not like he didn't feel their presence but they have no any danger for him.

"What is going on?"

He decided to be dense about this situation.

"Tell us who you are and we're gonna let you go."

"This is not a good joke Kotori. I'm still you're brother."

"Don't worry. This gun is just a net gun… with some electricity. It will only knock you up so don't worry. As long you will tell who you are, we will never use this to you."

This weapon might not be dangerous but he doesn't want to feel any damage.

"In the end, I need to do this."

Then he sighs.

All of them feel something wrong with his words so they prepared themselves to shoot him.

However, they didn't know that they are no longer in Tengu City but inside of his personal dimension.

He perfectly copies the whole Tengu City so it will take some time before they might notice this change, except for one person.

As expected, when he looks at Reine, there is a change in her expression.

She looked like she wanted to do something but she decided to not do anything and aim to focus her net gun on me.

"I have a question. Why are you forcing the I'm not your brother and I'm someone else?"

Kotori smirked and said, "Do you think I'm Idiot? After you sealed the Yamai sisters, we decided to observe you. We take some data about your interaction on the school trip and a month ago with your data from a year ago. The difference is so big that I blame myself for being so stupid. I'm begging you, If you are a spirit, we want to help you just tell me, where did you take my brother?" while her tone becoming more and more grim the more she talk like she wanted to cry.

However, as the commander of her crew, she decided to be strong-willed and be focused on the present matter.

Shido could feel how truly she love him but he is saying the truth right now so why they couldn't believe him?

In the end, he decided to fall into the cliche where he needed to prove his identity by saying what only Shido knows.

"Since you don't really believe in me, why not asked me something that only real Shido knows?"

Hearing his plea, Kotori thought that it make sense so she decided to accept it and think a question.

"When is my— No, that's so simple. Where did you— No, that's so simple too."

She didn't think that making a question is really hard.

Realization strikes her and she starts to ask again.

"On my 8th birthday, what did you gift to me?"

He is confused but later, smiled inwardly.

'It's too easy. It seems that despite being a commander, she is still a kid.'

He raises his hand and points it to her head, specifically to her twin tail.

"Your ribbon, of course."

Unconsciously, she touches her ribbon.

Other than her family, she didn't tell anyone about it which is why she is surprised that he got it correctly.

"Put down your gun."

She told her subordinate.

They have some wariness around him but they decided to follow her order.

Her subordinates know that there is something wrong with it but they decided to trust their commander's word but didn't let down their guard.
