The Meeting Of The Kings

EVIE

It was already the next morning and they were already in the Palace. By the Duke of Thurelis's instruction, King Adamos's body was taken to his Chamber.

Evie could not sleep at all. King Adamos did not appear dead as his complexion remained the same. His breathing was also normal. And there was no sign of distress on his face.

However, she was concerned that it was taking him a long time to come back. She wondered what he had encountered in the other kingdom that was hindering his return.

It was taking more of her conscious mind than the Duke's offer to her mission.

Evie glanced at the window and saw the sun coming up to shed its light on everyone for the day. It appeared bright and cheery, but Evie felt as gloomy as a rainy day.
