EVIE
The positive emotions that Evie was feeling a while ago with the victory of the trial and the somehow concern that she felt from the Emperor were quickly replaced by feelings of hurt and disappointment.
'How can they all put the blame on me?' Her chest hitched as she felt her stomach harden.
Her heart beat erratically not because of the increase in altitude as they were already traveling back to Paradis, but because of the thought that all the Kings were against her.
It is not that she cared much about what they thought even though it slighted her a bit. She was used to being accused even in her former job.
What was making her heart ache was the loss of opportunity to find her mother.
It would be harder for her if she were sent to exile. Or worse, she would be sent to where she came from.
