Preparations

Just a day before the widely popular VRMMORPG games named "First World Online", a 18 year old young man named Zoom Kaida was readily preparing for it's launch.

Zoom is a human that has just recently graduated from high school and will be entering college in a month.

For now he was casually laying on his bed with the lights in his room turned off, all his is worrying about currently is about an unreleased game that has attracted millions of players if not billions of players galaxy wide.

What made the game attracting is it's ultra realistic feeling, thousands of beta players had commended on how realistic the game felt.

You could touch, smell, and taste, something very new to virtual reality games today.

The realistic feeling is not the only aspect that has players falling in-love with the game, but also all the game's contents.

The game has a wide array of activities, quests, and of course a large and expansive galaxy to explore.

The creators of the game has shared leaks all throughout the galactic web of large scale wars, space battles, and skills with colourful and bright effects.

'What strategy should I use!' Zoom thought.

Tap

A bright blue screen popped up right in front of him, a light tap on a watch-like item that is wrapped around his right wrist was the cause of this.

If you looked at the blue screen you can tell that it had similar functions with a phone but with more advanced aspects to it.

Zoom clicked an the search bar at the top of the screen, a keyboard appeared abruptly on the bottom.

'First world online... clips... and beta tests... and done' Zoom's fingers were fast, years of gaming experience led to him having a faster hand movement and reaction speed.

Loading

It didn't take long before hundreds of different videos and pictures were being displayed from top to bottom with their titles and descriptions on the side.

"Beta Test! OMG the game is so realistic!"

"First World Online! I met different species!"

"10 Different Strategies I Thought Of! Certified Beta Tester!"

Different titles and thumbnails were flooding the Zoom's screen, he quickly clicked the third on that was about strategies hoping he would be able to learn about useful ones.

It was a twenty minute video, Zoom is very impatient from time to time especially since only a day was left until the game would launch he was in a hurry, but nonetheless he endured all throughout.

Sigh...

A long sigh was released by Zoom finding the first video very unproductive, the video was teaching the viewers the usual tips and tricks that were being shared by the beta testers.

Zoom had long ago learned of these tips, 'Same old, same old...'

Zoom resumed his focus and quickly skimmed through the videos and pictures only reading it's titles not even bothering to read the descriptions.

It didn't take long before Zoom came upon a second video, it was a shorter one being around seven minutes.

Click

'I hope this one will be more productive.'

Zoom had both his hands at the back of his head as he irritatingly said with a slight frown on his face.

Seven minutes quickly passed with nothing worth learning about from the video, just like the first video it was unproductive.

Zoom couldn't help but sigh once more, he rolled around his bed wildly, his head tucked in his pillow.

"What a pain!" He shouted but the sound was easily suppressed by his pillow.

He rolled around once more until he was now face the ceiling with the screen right above him.

'Maybe I should just think of my own unique strategy...'

'...Something that will give me a upper hand against players using the basic strategy.'

Calming himself he once again skimmed through the hundreds of videos and pictures.

Click

Zoom used a different approach, instead of watching videos that talked about strategies there were downright worthless or very common, Zoom watched a video where tens of players were in a fight.

Two different groups situated in two different sides, the location was a normal grassy plain with barely any trees in sight.

Countless beasts, harmless animals and critters were scattered around but purposely avoided the horde of players that were in an intense face-off.

Each group had their distinct features that differentiated them, like the player that had recorded the video, he was a healer and held a long wooden staff, way taller than he was, he including his group wore either cloth, leather or plate armour with an emblem embedded on them that seemed to be their logo.

The other group were quite similar but they had a logo that was different from the first group's.

"Get ready!" A voice shouted.

The player who recorded moved forward and saw a tall and bulky man fully encased in white silver armour, he was their commander or whatever term each player would call them, he wielded a sword on his right and a shield on his left.

Rumble

The group they were fighting were running towards them in full speed while pointing their weapons, loud shouts of war cry reverberated in the area.

"Charge!" The commander shouted before charging forward to meet the enemy, his fellow members soon followed behind him.

They were above a hill which would've given them a nice advantage but the commander seemingly very inexperienced with strategies of war and only cared about fighting head-on quickly abandoned his advantage for the sake of starting to fight much earlier.

The two groups eventually met below the hill, loud clanging of metal were heard while colourful spells and projectiles covered the sky.

The fight was intense and brutal with the first group slowly pushing the enemy.

As Zoom watched this he noticed something, something that was ignored by the groups as the fight raged on.

What was this? The loot!

When the players were killed they would drop certain items that they wore, like boots or maybe a helmet, the chances varied.

Zoom had his fingers on his chin and he contemplated.

'What if while players fight... I LOOT!' Zoom immediately jumped up from his bed in realisation.
