Chapter 4 Lovely Family

[ The system tutorial will now end. ]

After the system's notification, the world regained it's color as time resumed. Everything was the same as if there was nothing that happened. My phone still showed the same time even though thirty minutes have passed.

I once again looked at myself using my phone's camera. Everything happened so suddenly. Being a girl, the world changing, the system, me being a demon, etc. All of it feels like a dream. But I quickly accepted this new reality and new identity of mine.

"ALICE!! Get out of your room we're having breakfast!"

"Coming!"

I reflexively replied to mom's yell before realizing again that she is still my mother. They're still the same even though it's not the same world. I didn't have time to check the other template's effect, so I'll just check it later.

Standing up, I walked towards the door and went to the living room. I didn't have any problem adapting to my new strength as I controlled it instinctively. It was as if I was always like this. I will need to test my abilities sometime.

Our house have two floors with 4 bedrooms in the second floor while there are 1 bedroom, Kitchen, Living Room, and Bathroom in the first floor. My room is in the ground floor so I can reach the living room easily. We always eat in the living room while watching TV or some movies and recorded shows.

Entering the living room I saw my little brother, Jayce and little sister Cecilia. My brother is eleven this year while my little sister is nine years old. My brother inherited my dad's black eyes and he's the one with the most resemblance with him. My little sister is just like me, she has purple eyes and pitch black hair but she also inherited some of my dad's facial features.

Seeing me enter the room, Jay immediately went to me and passed me a plate with sunny side up eggs, bacon, and tuna sandwich.

"S-Sis, are you still angry?" He asked me fearfully.

"No..." I said dully as I began to eat while watching TV. Fortunately I solved the problem of not being able to eat anything except human flesh quite early. If not I will have a problem.

It seems like they're watching the recorded past episodes of Duck-tective. Based on my memory of this world, it was pretty entertaining even though it can't compare to the things I've watched in the past.

"Jay, I think Duck-tective will have an evil twin."

"How can you say that?"

"Just a gut feeling..."

"Well that will be an interesting twist for sure."

I looked at the one who spoke. It was my mother. She is a beautiful woman with long pitch black hair with purple tips and purple eyes, 5'6 tall, and have the curves in right places. She can be considered a slim sexy woman.

"Mom..."

"How many times did I say to you to stop bullying your brother, little lady?"

I shivered at her question as I know that if I even answer anything, this will result in a prolonged nagging. Quickly finishing up my breakfast and taking the tuna sandwich, I ran to the door outside to leave.

"I'll go to the Mystery Shack! I'll say hi to Mabel!"

"Don't forget to come home before dark missy!"

That was the last thing I heard after closing the door. Our house is located at the end of the town just near the Mystery Shack so it easy to just walk there. I ate my tuna sandwich on the way.

After a few minutes, I am now in front of the Mystery Shack. This shack really looks shabby. Once I entered, I saw Wendy Corduroy in the counter reading some magazine with her feet on the counter.

"Sup, Wendy! How's work?"

"Boring... You got anything fun to do Alice?"

"Hey, what about I sing in front of Robbie's face to show him that I am far more superior!"

"Haha! Why do you always target Robbie in the first place?"

"Because he pisses me off with his face and that he managed to dupe you!"

"Hey, girl. Is this about that again? That you will do better than him if I were your girlfriend?"

You heard it right. The me in this world is more attracted to girls than guys. So I just became a girl but my personality is the same. I remember that when I got news that Robbie is Wendy's boyfriend, I almost beat him up to a pulp if not for Wendy stopping me.

"You're a girl, Alice. Chill. Maybe you can find the right guy someday."

"Yeah, yeah. Anyway, where is Mabel? I haven't seen her yet."

"She's outside with her new boyfriend."

"What?! Since when?!"

"Since yesterday. You weren't here in the afternoon so you didn't see him."

"What's his name?"

"I think it's Nor...man? Norman? Yeah, that's his name."

Shit. Okay, nothing major happened yet. It's still the first episode so there is nothing absurd happening. I can defeat those gnomes anytime but I wouldn't. I'll just go with the flow and read that journal. That journal have one part of the blueprint of the portal. Maybe I can travel the multiverse if I had that.

"Ah, right, where's Dipper? I need him for something."

"I dunno. Maybe— Oh, hey! There he is."

Wendy pointed at the front door that just opened when Dipper came in. He was holding a book and a camera while muttering something.
