CHAPTER 18: SWEET REVENGE
Fidel was done attending to his wound and was in the bedroom. Lian was downstairs dozing on the sofa. After all she had spent her few days awake and now she felt at rest.
Fidel was on his way to the study room when Kai ran upstairs and met his boss with a small parcel. "This contains all you need to know while you were away. Madam was lonely, worked herself out in the company every day." Kai reported.
"Which company?" Fidel asked. He thought did Lian get a new job?
"Your company of course. She reported to the office early in the morning and we had to force her out of office at night. She went through a lot for you . You can't even imagine she did address your staff. If you see her resting on the sofa downstairs, just let her rest. She is a strong woman." Kai finished his report.
Fidel took the photos and walked to the study room. He went through the photos of Lian lonely in the office, and Kai had captured a photo of Lian crying the moment she saw Fidel's message. He sighed and opened his computer and went through some company information and found everything was up to date. This woman!
He had not even started his work when he saw a helicopter over the building, the Nolan helicopter. He gave a weaker smile because everyone in the castle heard his command. Kate walked out of the helicopter and called on the guards to carry her bags but every one seemed not to hear her however much she shouted. Kai came forward and said, "Boss says no shouting in this castle. His queen is resting."
"What do you mean no shouting when you people aren't even doing your work?" Kate snorted. Fidel came downstairs and stood at the entrance of the castle, looking at Kate pull her own bags.
This girl is really bold. He thought. Lian had pulled her own belongings in. In fact, she had denied all help and done most of the things herself. But Kate would shout for help wherever she is. Well, after the helicopter left, Fidel's face changed. He expected his mother to be here. Well, either way. Nature will give him a better way to reciprocate what he wants. He had a perfect memory and he wouldn't let anyone who wants to come between him and Lian have a happy ending. This included Senior Jones because he was yet to receive the shocking news.
After greeting Fidel and not getting a reply, she walked into the spacious living room and put down her case. She then mentioned to a maid to carry it upstairs. Her voice woke up Lian and the maid looked annoyed seeing Kate woke up madam.
"Kate, you've been here before, are suitcases kept in the living room?" Lian snorted clearly annoyed. Kate wanted to snort but she saw Fidel looking at her.
"Can I get something to eat?" she covered up her anger with a forced smile.
"Am sorry miss, you can't go to the kitchen. It's prohibited."
But even after the reply, the maid wasn't carrying her bag upstairs. Kate really wanted to break down.
Evening...
Senior Jones was in hospital having his nose repaired and his jaw placed back in position. Anes hadn't come to see him so he send a message to Kate. Kate seeing no one was entertaining her in the castle, she decided to drive home and see her dad.
Anes was taking a nap on the sofa when Kate came in. Anes had tested money from Fidel's side. Besides, he had been to the luxurious castle that morning. When Kate greeted him, he simply snorted.
"Dad says he's in the hospital alone yet you are lazing here?" Kate was annoyed.
"Am I the doctor? Even if I go, his nose is still broken and his jaw will still remain dislocated." Anes replied with less care in the world.
"What happened to him? You couldn't even defend your own father you useless thing!" Kate said angrily.
"I did warn him, yet he chose to listen to that lunatic Dallas. He went over to kill your sister but instead got his match. I can't kill myself worrying about someone who can't even listen to his own son." Anes said.
"Kill Lian? Over what? You're covering up your stupidity with a lame excuse." Kate said before leaving for the hospital.
"He probably wanted to test the waters." Anes shouted before Kate entered the family vehicle bought from the money used to marry off Lian and drove to the hospital.
In the hospital, they had finished sewing the nose and forcing the jaw back in place when Kate arrived. Senior Jones was in the ward so Kate went to be with him. Before she could inquire what happened, calls started coming in.
"Senior Jones, who did you offend? Am forced to terminate all contracts with you."
"Senior Jones, we're grateful to have worked with you, but the Grey's are no longer in the contact with your company."
"Senior Jones, I send the termination message. Did you see it?"
All Fidel needed to do was give Ryan some work and it was well done. No one trying to hurt his woman would survive with a heart attack, fainting and red eyes.
Right now senior Jones was on the verge of collapsing and Kate for the first time in her life saw her father's tears. She understood his pain. This was a company he had given his all for the past years.
"Dad, who did you offend?" Kate asked. But senior Jones wasn't in a position to answer because he had fainted. Kate called the doctors who said he was suffering from a heart attack. In fact, some of them complained that Kate was senseless giving her dad shocking news when he was already in hospital. When they brought him back on the stretcher, he was shaking all over. Kate was annoyed with everyone pointing fingers at her so she angrily asked her father what was happening. Senior Jones fainted again and this time his heart seemed to stop.
"This silly girl dares to shout at her dying father!" those who were in the ward scolded. This wasn't a self-contained room so everyone was looking at her with angry eyes.
"Everyone stop blaming me for something I don't know yet." Kate wanted to cry.
