Fired up

"Lucky what are you doing here", Samantha said with a glowing smile on her face.

"Lucky?", I said as I froze with my fork halfway in my mouth.

Could it be the same lucky, I thought.

"Hey Luis, this is lucky, the one I just told you about", she said as she hugged him.

Somehow the scene made me feel uncomfortable. I didn't understand why and I knew I had to say something quick.

"Oh lucky nice meeting you",I said as I shaked his hand.

"Nice to meet you, for a second thought you were dating my girlfriend", he said.

Girlfriend? I thought Samantha had said he was her crush.

"Oh Girlfriend, Samantha I c.thought you said you had a crush on him", I asked Samantha. ,,

"Don't be ignorant Luis, I told you I had a crush on him and he also had a crush on me so we started dating", she said as she moved her hand in the air.

"Oh ok, so can we finish our stake", I asked.

"Don't be selfish, Luis. Lucky and I have a lot to catch up on", She said.

Just as I was about to say something else Stephen came in and he could tell the atmosphere was very awkward.

"What's going on here", he asked.

"Stephen, I'd like you to meet Lucky, my boyfriend", Samantha said.

"Nice to meet you", Lucky said as he brought out his hand for a handshake.

"Oh boyfriend huh, umm nice to meet you too", Stephen said as he looked at me to see the reaction on my face.

"Hey Samantha now that I met you we have a lot of catching up to do so why don't we get to it right?", Lucky said.

Samantha nodded and Stephen followed them to the door. I was still wondering how and why Lucky would just appear out of the blue almost around the time we were speaking about him. Something was more than fishy and it was giving me the creeps.

"Look what I got, a hundred bucks, today is my lucky day", Stephen said as he laughed.

"Don't you think there's something weird about him", I said with a deep voice as I placed my hands in my pockets.

"What's so weird about him, I think he's pretty nice", He replied as we both stared at the door.

"No something's off and did you see that tattoo on his neck", I asked.

"I didn't see it clearly, what about it", he asked as he looked at me.

"It looks just like the double-C logo, that's the Centra-Con logo", I replied.

"Wait now that you mention I think it did look like it, but how does he having the logo on his neck imply that he's a bad person he could most likely be a fan", he said.

"I'm suspicious, very suspicious", I replied sounding more serious than ever.

"Don't tell me you're going to follow them", he said as he held my hand.

"Oh I'm definitely gonna follow them", I replied almost immediately, "Keep your communicator active, I'd be giving you updates"

"Ok but aren't you supposed to focus on controlling your powers?", he asked.

"Stephen do as you're told and stop with the questions", I said as I cut him off almost immediately.

Stephen murmured something to himself but I was completely uninterested. I wanted to know what it was about this lucky and why my gut just couldn't accept that he's a good person.

I followed them but gave them a good distance. I couldn't see what they were doing clearly so I borrowed binoculars from a tourist couple. They were in another restaurant sharing the same food on the same plate.

"Just look at them acting all coupley if that's even a word", I said to myself.

"Luis can you hear me", Stephen asked over the communicator.

"Yeah I can hear you", I replied.

"How's the visuals", I asked.

"Visuals are just perfect", he replied.

"Good", I replied.

"Hey dude have you ever thought of turning your basement to a bro cave, cause there's a lot of space in here", he replied.

"I'll think of it", , I replied.

"Dude are they kissing", Stephen asked.

"What are they?", I asked as I enhanced the lens a bit.

I watched them as it looked like they were kissing but they weren't. Instead they were displaying the French gesture for 'nice to meet you'. I had to stop over thinking this and taking it personally.

"Oh no they aren't, just the French gesture for...", he said as I cut him off.

"I know that already", I said.

Then when they finished eating they left the restaurant and of course I followed. They went into the forest and it was already getting dark. They eventually stopped when they reached some odd looking chair.

"What is that", I said to myself.

I could hear them this time cause it was already dark.

"Sam this is my favorite spot in the whole of tech city and I wanted to share it with you", Lucky said to Samantha.

"Awwn that's so sweet Lucky", Sam replied.

"Why don't you sit in my massage chair", she asked.

"Ohh massage chair how romantic", she said as she sounded a bit flirty.

They were already getting on my puke nerves. What does she mean by romantic. I jumped up a tree to get a better view. I was surprised though.

"At least the only aspect of my power that works", I said to myself.

Samantha sat on the chair and Lucky placed a helmet that was attached to the chair on her head. Of all the massage chairs I've seen this was the weirdest.

"Stephen are you seeing this, does that look like a massage chair to you", I asked Stephen.

"Already searching for it dude", Stephen replied almost immediately.

"Got it. That's a Brain liquidizer", he replied.

"Brain liquidizer? I thought those things were banned years ago", I asked back.

"They were and now someone like Lucky is using that illegally", Stephen replied as he sounded like he had placed something in his mouth.

"I knew it, I knew something was up with him now he's going to regret doing this to Samantha, I'm going to make him pay so hard his teeth are gonna fall out", I said with so much anger.

"Woah dude, I don't know why you are getting angry over this but don't you think this is the best opportunity to control your emotions and control your powers. Don't do it with anger just do it calmly", Stephen asked.

"I guess you are right, I should be calmer about this but I'm still going to make him pay", I replied.

"Oh yeah go ahead I'm not stopping you on that one", he said as he laughed a bit.

"Alright here goes", I said as I jumped down the tree and landed on the ground like Superman. Oh how that felt great and I didn't get a single bruise.

"What are you doing here, wait have you been following us", Lucky asked quietly.

"Yes I have and now I've caught you red handed, now let her go", I said.

"Is that Luis?", Samantha asked.

"No no it's not Luis that's just me doing impressions", Lucky said as he faked another impression.

"Now if you don't get out of here I'm going to punch your head off", He said as he sounded threatening.

"Hey Lucky, I guess today's not your lucky d...", I said before I was cut off by a punch that flew me through the forest and I hit my back on a tree.

"My Gosh, that was more than painful, owwww", I said as I spoke with pain.

"Dude what just happened I saw trees and trees and trees and they were moving, was there a landslide", Stephen asked.

"Nope not a landslide, that was me, he punched me, punched me real hard", I said as I tried to stand properly.

"Woah he punched you that hard and you're still alive, that must be some really tough skin", He replied as he laughed a bit.

"Tell me about it, I think it's my powers, probably molecular density", I replied.

"Ok dude he's still there liquidizing Samantha's brain you have to get to it", Stephen said.

"Yeah and I'm not taking him likely this time", I said as I ran towards Lucky.

I got back to where they were and Samantha was talking funny. I had to act quick.

"Hey nice punch but I'm still alive", I said.

"You're getting on my nerves", he said.

"I'm starting to have a feeling that you are not lucky", I said.

"Ooo ten points to the correct answer, alright you got me I'm not Lucky but soon Samantha wouldn't be Samantha, now where did I stop with you", he said as he charged towards me with his fist in the air.

He tried to land me two full powered punches but I dodged the both as I walked back. I didn't know what to do. I've been waiting for an opportunity to use my powers on someone since I went to that power dome or whatever but now I don't know how to use it.

"Luis you're letting your emotions take over again, act now, allow your emotions to flow through remember and your powers would flow as well", Stephen said.

Flow through. I decided to calm down and slow down my thoughts and think about how to save Samantha from this guy or whoever he was. I took a heavy breath in and out and when I dodged another one of his punches I gave him such a punch that sent him flying.

"Oh yeah!!!", I said as I started to jump about like a boxer excited.

"How are you that strong", Lucky said as he turned his head forward.

"Oh you do not wanna know", I said.

Then as he stood up I gave him another punch but this time there was fire on my hands.

"Sweet", I said.

Then I decided to try something out. I aimed my right arm at the thing pretending to be Lucky and blasted fire at him. He landed on a rock and just as he landed on the rock I ran to him and punched him in the gut. At first I thought I made a mistake expecting blood to be on my hand but I saw wires and a little power core in him.

"So he's a robot, makes sense", Stephen said.

"Yeah I know, Samantha!", I said as I ran to the brain liquidizer and turned on the reverse switch.

Then Samantha stepped out of the chair as she helt her head feeling dizzy sort of.

"Luis, you're here and where's Lucky", She said as she helt my shoulder for support.

"Lucky is over there, He was a robot all along a bad one infact, but I came at the right time and saved you, so you're welcome", I said feeling proud of myself.

Samantha walked to the remains of robot Lucky. She bent on her knees and held the robot in her arms.

"You're welcome, You're welcome? Are you truly expecting me to say thank you for this. For the first time in a year I have finally seen Lucky, I got a chance to be with him for maybe just a day but you couldn't let me have my peace, instead you went ahead and killed the thing that was pretending to give me happiness for just a day. Did you think l was that stupid not to know it was a robot? I knew he was a robot but I just wanted to spend sometime with him and I'm sure whatever the robot did I'd probably still live maybe in another body or somewhere but I'd get to still be with Lucky at least but you ruined it, you ruined it", she said as she broke down in tears.

"Ruined it? Samantha I saved your life, and you're accusing me", I asked as I looked very confused.

"Do you have ears or not? I said I don't need you to save me, I was happy being with the robot even though I knew it wasn't Lucky. You've broken my trust Luis, Don't talk to me again", she said as she ran towards the road side.

"Well I don't want to talk to you as well", I shouted.

"So she prefers to die than living without this Lucky, Crazy people, Crazy!!", I said to myself as I walked to the roadside and took an AST home.

"Hey dude look on the bright side at least you can control your powers to an extent", Stephen said to me as I got home.

"Dude I've had a long day, I think we should get some rest, Good night", I said to Stephen as I walked into my house.

"Ok we'd talk in school right, or we'd talk in school obviously", Stephen said as he stepped into an AST.

I don't know what was wrong with Samantha. She got angry for nothing and shouted at me for saving her life and uhh I have to sleep.
