Episode 2: Rise Of The Red Ranger (part 2)

"Take that" the alien nodded sending an energy slash towards Nathan. The boy quickly jumped out of the way

"Woo, that was close" Nathan said and got up

He opened the latch of his morpher again.

"Dino morpher" he called and pressed 1-0-5 "Go, DinoForce" he said and pressed the enter button.

A bright flow of red energy surrounded him shielding him from the alien's slashes

The red glow surrounded Nathan and quickly turned into red and gold dust. The flames circle round him from his feet upwards forming the suit as it went. The little gold flames form the golden accents of the suit and the belt. The blaster appeared mid air and he grabbed and put it in it's place. A Tyrannosaurus came running from behind him. Nathan does a back flip and landed just as the t.rex opened it's mouth and covered his head forming the helmet. The vision closed up and the gold flames passed over it giving it it's golden edges

"Tyrannosaurus Rex, Dino Ranger Red" Nathan said doing a battle pose an explosion occur behind him

"So you're the red ranger. I've been sent here to find you" Mothun said pointing it's sword at the red ranger

"Unfortunately for you, you found me and you won't live to tell the story" Nathan said taking out his blaster.

He shoot at Mothun but the alien jumped out of the way and charged for the red ranger

Mothun swung it's sword towards Nathan and but Nathan block the attack with his blaster

"You look oddly familiar to me" Nathan said before pushing the alien away

"You look busted to me" Mothun said and slashed. Again, Nathan blocked the attack but Mothun kicked him on his left leg making the red ranger knee.

Mothun kicked the ranger away. Nathan landed on the ground with a thump. Nathan grabbed his side as he register pain from the kick

He got a beep on his helmet and pressed the small almost invisible button on the right side of his helmet. Dash came up on the top right side of the visor

"Nathan, press 1-4-1 to call up your sword and 1-1-0 to call up your special weapon" Dash said

"You couldn't tell me that like a minute ago?" Nathan said and got up

"You're defeated Ranger Red" Mothun said

Nathan didn't reply but just took out his morpher and opened the latch

"Dino sword, active" he called as he pressed 1-4-1 and the numbers appeared on the screen. He pressed the enter button

A sword appeared in a red flash of light and Nathan grabbed it. He smirked and held the sword against his neck. He does a come motion with his left hand at the alien

"Come get it" he said in a teasing tone

Mothun charged at the red ranger whom charged forward too. The two met and Nathan slashed the alien across it's stomach. Nathan slash again across it's chest and the alien stumbled backwards as sparks travel across it's body

"No, you can't defeat me" Mothun said grabbing it's sword.

The two collide swords causing an explosion behind them.

Nathan slashed at the alien again knocking away it's sword. Nathan kicked the sword away.

"This is your end extraterrestrial creature" he said taking out him morpher again.

"T.Rex blaster, active" He called and pressed 1-1-0 then the enter button. The sword disappeared and the new weapon appeared

The blaster was red and in the shape of a t.rex head.

Nathan opened the t.rex mouth and pointed the blaster at Mothun

"T.Rex blaster final blast" he said and release the trigger. The blaster fired red energy blast at the alien

"No!" Mothun shouted as more sparks ran through it's body

Nathan turned his back at the alien and held the blaster across from him.

Mothun exploded in a huge flame of fire

"Shut down" Nathan said

"That was actually better than I thought it would be" Lady Vellvin said

"Yes, the red ranger power is really powerful" Lord Vendox said looking away from the screen

"Phase two of my master plan have been finalized. Now to sit back and watch phase three take action"

"This will be easier than when we fought the first team of dino pest" Lady Vellvin said. She picked her nail polish remover. "All we have to do is sit back and watch"

Nathan de-morphed and looked at the destroyed buildings

His morpher beeped trice and he got it out of his trouser pocket. He opened the latch and Dash came up on the screen

"Good job Nathan. Please return to the base at once" dash said

Once again, the screen went blank before Nathan could reply. Nathan groaned and made his way back to the base again

Nathan got to the house. The front door was open so he went in. He went under the stairs and opened the the hidden latch on the wall. He put in the code and the hatch opened up. Nathan walked down the flight of stairs, the hatch door closing above him

"What is it now?" He sighed as he walked up to Dash whom stood at the middle of the command center

"Congratulations on your first win as a power ranger" Dash said

"First and only win. I haven't agreed to join your little suicide mission. That kick Mothun gave me still hurt" Nathan said

Dash frowned

"You're a machine. You can't feel pain" he said

"Im not alive but I'm more than just your average machine" Nathan asked walking round the older man and took a sit on the meeting table

"Look, that spiritgem choice you for a reason. To protect the world. You can't just walk away from that. It's already bounded with you, you don't have a choice" Dash said sitting opposite the red ranger

"Can't you unbound it from me? I mean, how did it bound to me anyway?" Nathan asked "Don't you need DNA for that?"

"I can't explain that cause I don't have an answer myself and I don't have a machine or anything that can unbound you from the red dino spiritgem." Dash said then sighed

"The powers that you posses is our only possible hope of destroying Lord Vendox for good."

"So I'm just supposed to go with this? Don't I get to make a choice?" Nathan said dropping the morpher on the table "For all I know, I can say 'no', right."

Dash sighed

"You saw what Mothun did to the city. We can't let any more of Lord Vendox aliens do that again. Think about It" He said and got up.

He walked over to the computer systems which Nathan had his back to. He took his sit in front of one and began working on the computer leaving Nathan to his thoughts.

After a few minutes of silence, Nathan turned on the chair to face Dash's back

"Fine I'll do it" He said. Dash stop typing and turned to him

"I'll join your subside squad but under one condition"

"It's a team and what condition" Dash asked

"I don't wanna work alone. A team mate or two would be nice" Nathan said "Oh and I don't have a place to stay so..."

"You will be getting team mates.... nine of them once we find the lost dino spiritgems and you can stay here with I and my sister. She'll love you. She likes any kind of machines and computer." Dash said then smiled mischievously

"Just make sure she doesn't get too close"

"Why?" Nathan asked wondering what a tiny little girl would do to him

"Nothing bad. She might tear you apart just to see what you're made of inside. Meeting a real life Android has always been one of her dreams" Dash said and turned back to his system

If Androids could go pale, Nathan would probably be the palest. Yep. He looked freaked out

"Great. This day can't get any weirder than this" he said and Dash chuckled
