Sad boyfriend T-T

They just stood there, not knowing what to do. However, their aimless state didn't last long as that person responded, a simple ding announcing the arrival of his message.

'Let's make a deal, alright? After all, I can't bear to see you sad, Willow.'

Willow looked at Adelia cautiously. She nodded, prompting him to continue, tacit understanding shining in both of their gazes.

'What do you want?'

This time, the other person was quick to reply and didn't leave them waiting for long.

'What do I want? Hmm...maybe come meet me first? Come to the Pearl Hotel, room number XX, on Sunday, 6:00 pm.'

"Will...Will, is meeting this sickhead a good idea? What if- what if it's a trap?"

"I don't know, Adelia," Willow himself didn't know what to do. He continued helplessly, "I'm just... I'm just as clueless as you are. But this is the only thing we can do for now."

"We'll have to take the chance," Willow looked in her eyes, trying hard to make himself sound dependable. "It's the best bet we've got. Everything...everything will be okay."

"I hope you're right, Will."

"Will! You finally picked up!" Charlie beamed. He was in a garden as he looked at the people preparing the place, arranging flowers and a table. "I was wondering if we could, like—"

Willow didn't give him a chance to continue. "I'm sorry, Charlie. I'm afraid I can't make it."

"But—" Charlie felt a little wronged. He pouted, "But it's a Sunday! And..." he continued sheepishly, "We didn't go on any dates this month! I barely even see you nowadays, Will!"

"I—I'm sorry. But I have some classes with my tutor on Sunday. You know exams are coming up, right? I'm very sorry, but I just can't make it."

"Will...can you really, really not make it?" Charlie pleaded, hoping he'd ditch the lesson and just come on a date with him. He's his boyfriend! All he's asking for is an evening!

Willow hardened his voice a little, "Charlie, stop being immature. You know I can't do that."

"Okay..." Charlie's head dropped in sadness. "But we can at least talk a little longer, right—"

His words were cut off as Willow hurriedly hung up. "Sorry, talk to you later. Bye!"

Willow threw his phone on the bed in anger. He was angry at that person for making him do this, but more than that, he was angry at himself for being so helpless.

"What happened?" Adelia asked softly, "It was Charlie?"

"Yes...I just—it's nothing..."

"It's alright," she tried to cheer him up, "it's alright. You guys can meet up as many times as you want after we deal with this, right? And plus...you're doing this for Charlie. Don't feel guilty, Will. You're doing the best thing for both Charlie and you."

She got a hopeful look in her eyes as she said, "A storm always ends, right? Every disaster, no matter how big, will pass one day. This...this will also pass one day," she tried to assure both herself and Willow as she continued, "this all will work out soon. Really."

On seeing his sister trying to cheer him up, Willow felt shameful for being hopeless like that earlier. Isn't he the older one? He's supposed to be the mature one here. Yet...his sister's trying so hard to cheer him up, he can't give up. He'll save them all, at all costs.

"...You're right. We're gonna make this right, just the way it used to be. Ready?"

"Of course," Adelia smiled before taking his outstretched hand, determination shining in her eyes.
