"So, how do you know magic?" asked Troy with a puzzled look.

The party was going to the outer skirts of the Doceredon country. It is said that the country's people used to live in the barren lands of the Dorecon. It is nearly 100 km away from the main city of Doceredon.

"There are secrets in everyone's life, don't your think?" replied the kid in a knowing manner.

"What are yours?" Troy drilled him to get a clear answer.

"In due time, you will know everything. For now, let's meet up with an old friend. The healing dragon doesn't really like people very much. So I will do the talking. But he is kind. So he should help you without a doubt." the kid seemed sure about the dragon's answer.

It felt as if the kid had known the dragon for ages. But the kid should only be a few years old. So how come he would know the dragon for a long time? How would he even know the dragon, to begin with? Even Filos and Troy, who had been looking for a cure in so many places, couldn't find anything about any dragon, let alone a healing dragon. This kid sure knows a lot compared to that.

"Oi, Troy. Come here." Filos pointed beside him for Troy to come.

"What?" Troy wasn't sure what Filos wanted to talk about.

"I doubt the kid knows anything. I am sure about this type of kid. They just roam around in big cities. Not having parents is hard. getting to survive one day is their priority." Filos continued, "He just wants us to take care of him. So he is luring us either into a trap or just passing the time." Filos seemed to be sure about himself.

Filos doesn't say anything unless he is sure. He rarely lies. The last time he lied was when he couldn't bring any dress for Felicia on her birthday because he was making one himself. So, it took time. Don't even ask about Felicia's reaction when she got the dress. It felt like one of the moons around the Mundus fell on her feet.

"I know, but what goes in checking out? We don't have any other leads as well. No cure works. Even Dr. Alexander, the head of the Doctors Academy, failed." Troy's face became dull after remembering the smoke-filled room in Doceredon, "We even saw a dragon fly over our head. Don't you remember?" Troy tried to make Filos understand why he went ahead with the kid.

"I guess you are right. There is nothing impossible anymore. If you say snakes are flowers, I would believe that." Filos jockingly said.

"Why would snakes be flowers? They are birds. Look, a snake is flying by." Troy pointed out a bird.

"What are you guys saying?" the kid inquired.

"Don't you see that snake flying?" Troy looked serious.

"Where!? Where?!" the kid became frantic and looked for the snake. He even went behind Troy to hide.

"Do you hate snakes?" Troy seemed to understand why the kid was hiding behind his back.

"It's our weakness." the kid said while his whole body shook.

"There aren't any snakes here. We were joking." Troy tried to console the kid.

The kid stared at Troy without moving.

"Look, another one!" Troy tried to scare him again.

The kid ran ahead with his horse while the duo laughed their heart out.

It took them the whole night to get close to their destination.

"Sleep well. You will see tomorrow what an unbelievable myth looks like!" the kid said with a grin.

Troy was unsure if he should sleep or not. What if they get robbed while they take their sweet nap!! Rather than sleeping, he kept wracking his brain to figure out the kid that had been leading them to the so-called unbelievable myth!

Troy got what the kid meant with the unbelievable myth but could it be true? If they find the healing dragon, then it would benefit him the most. But, what does the kid has to gain? You may think that the kid is just happy to help or just after some small changes to get some bread the next day. But Troy felt something odd about the kid. Whenever a kid talks to you, there is a feeling of superiority in your subconscious that lets you laugh at a kid's antics or words. But this one seems different. He talks as if he has lived longer than Troy, Filos, or any of their acquaintances.

Troy understood that there was no point in thinking about all these. After all, tomorrow will all be revealed. If they get to meet the healing dragon or not, if the kid is telling the truth or not. All will be revealed.

The sunshine from the morning hours was just the right amount. Not too hot, not too bright. Filos woke up to relive himself behind a few bushes.

Troy also woke up in a bit. The kid was still there and did not take their stuff or bring robber to suck them dry of their belongings. So far, it seems the kid is not a criminal.

"Let's see what the kid shows us today!" FIlos speculated.

"We will, won't we?" agreed Troy with his dear friend. Troy tried to wake the kid, "Oi kiddo, Let's go. We gotta hurry."

"Don't worry, even if we go now, we won't be able to talk to him." murmured the kid.

"Why is that!" Exclaimed Troy.

"She is sleeping." the kid chuckled.

After quite a few hours, the kid woke up when it was nearly lunchtime.

"Looks like you got the sleep of your life." exclaimed Filos.

"Of course, you guys are with me after all. You are good guys." replied the kid.

The kid was brimming with confidence in the guys. It's not like they would give away their lives for the kid, but they wouldn't abandon him for sure, and the kid knew this for a fact.

"She should be up by now. Let's goooooo!" yelled the kid.

The duo followed diligently. The place they had come to, Dorecon had a large mountain. They circled the mountain and went behind.

"The mountain is just a front now. You will see the real deal when you see the backstage." smirked the kid.

When they reached the back of the mountain, they discovered the mountain was cut in half as a cave. Troy felt goosebumps. He felt the presence of something inhuman.

"Filos, did you feel that?" inquired Troy.

"Felt what? The air?" Filos wasn't sure what his dear friend was talking about.

It seems only Troy felt. Even the kid was unfazed.

"Let me do the talking. You wouldn't be able to talk anyway." said the kid entering the cave.

Even though they entered deep into the cave, light seeped through the holes of the cave.

Troy sensed the feeling growing stronger by the minute. He was sure there was something bid up ahead.

"I wondered how the mountain got a huge hole as if someone dug it out. It probably wasn't man-made, was it?" mumbled Filos.

As he ended his speaking, the party heard a growling sound. They finally were standing in front of a giant figure. It seemed to be the same as the flying monster over their head when they reached near the Doceredon.

"Dear friend, looooooong time, no sea?" chuckled the kid.

Filos looked confused. Troy got upset at the lame joke.

"Say that to Nero." grumbled the dragon. "What brings you here, Hito? You are reckless as ever, bringing humans with you as well."

"They need your help. This kid's mother is sick. Only you can save her now." Hito whispered, "I know for a fact that you won't refuse."

Troy understood that there was some hidden strife between the kid and the dragon. But how would a kid end up aggravating a dragon?

"Hey Troy, do you un..." "Shush!" Troy stopped Filos before he could finish saying anything.

"Why should I care about humans? I haven't forgotten what happened in the last century, and I haven't forgiven you." grumbled the dragon.

Filos poked Troy to say something.

"I know you are angry with me. But help the kids." Hito continued, "I know why you settled in this mountain when there are better places you could have chosen. Doceredon owes you."

Filos poked again. But Troy had other questions to ask.

"Why does Doceredon owe the dragon?" exclaimed Troy.

Hito and the dragon stared at Troy with dumbfounded expressions. Troy wasn't a ghost, but they thought they heard a ghost.

"Why do you ask that?" Hito stuttered after hearing what Troy said.

"You said it yourself." replied Troy.

Troy didn't get why Hito was asked such an obvious question.

Filos had been poking for a while, and Troy finally snapped, "WHAT!"

"What have the kid and the Dragon been screeching about?" cried Filos.

Now Troy was dumbfounded by Filos's words.

"YOU UNDERSTAND OUR LANGUAGE!" yelled Hito and the dragon.
