It's getting dark, the moonlight shining through the woods.
My sight getting less reliable as I try to find my path to survival.
The eerie feel of the wind against my skin causes me to panic as it reminds me that I might be tonight's diner.
I hear heavy thumps on the forest floor belonging to the monstrosity that's after me.
I keep on running in the direction of the wind and I go as fast as my already tired legs can carry me.
I take a sharp turn now and then hoping to shake off the shinigami that's after me.
I knew coming here was a mistake.
I should have just listened to my guts and stayed home where it's safe.
I don't know what sort of thing I did in my past life to deserve such bad karma.
It can't be real right?
This is definitely a nightmare.
I'll wake up in a few minutes and laugh at this right?
Except, it felt too real to be a dream. This was happening.
I'm going to die.
I take a left turn and duck as I near a tree branch.
My tired legs decide to fail me as I miss my step and crash into a tree, feeling the full impact as I grunt and hold onto my sides.
I stay on the ground for a few seconds trying to recover. All it takes to get me up is a fearsome howl from the beast. The adrenaline rushes in and I pick myself back up and continue on my quest for survival.
"Why me?"
"What is it?"
"Am I gonna die?"
These are the questions that roam my already troubled mind as I take another turn into the moonlit open forest.
"BIG MISTAKE", I think to myself as I stumble and fall yet again onto the cold forest floor.
All that stands between me and my shinigami is the clear and open space.
I start to panic realizing the situation I'm currently in, balls of sweat dripping down my face, my body already so tired from the fatigue.
The beast begins to amble towards me like a predator taking time to study its prey before devouring it.
I don't find it amusing though cause this time, I was the prey.
I begin to retrograde across the forest floor using my exhausted arms to assist my tired body, not that it's going to change anything, it just didn't seem to care anymore.
I just want to live.
As it comes closer, I shut my eyes, curl up on the ground and pray to God to save me.
It finally reaches me and then growls. I feel the hot air slowly come out of the beast's mouth.
Out of fear, acceptance, or stupidity, I'm not sure which, I decide that if I was going to die then I want to know what my killer looks like.
I slowly lift my head from my petrified position and then I take a glance at the beast, little by little until it came fully into view.
The first thing I saw was its eyes, Ocean blue.
I don't know what I was expecting to feel or how I was gonna react when I saw it, but it definitely was not to be entranced by the thing that wants to kill me.
My body started to move on its own as it adjusted itself slowly to take in the view of the giant wolf towering over my body.
Last time I checked, wolves are meant to be at most the waist height of a human and not taller, so why the heck was this wolf huge?
I'm sure it's at least 5feet tall.
I was feeling a pull towards the wolf, one I could not explain. All I can decipher about it is that it felt good like I found something that's been missing my whole life.
It felt like fate.
My eyes left its eyes to study its other features. It had black fur which gleamed under the moonlight which gave it an alluring look.
It was huge, at least 5 feet tall.
My hand moved on its own and I tried to touch the face of this magnificent beast.
It took a step back and snarled.
It looked like it was just as confused as I am.
I was entranced by its fangs but immediately stopped when the image of being between them flashed through my mind.
Then my eyes went back to meet its.
Damn were they bewitching. They had a calming beauty to them. The kind that makes you feel loved and safe while in the presence of a 5 feet wolf and no I'm not crazy.
All I think of was the gorgeous black wolf right in front of me. It then moved closer and barred it's fangs as it moves to end my life.
I was far too entranced by it to even bother about my impending death.
"What the hell?"
In fact, it felt like I wanted its fangs in my body.
"What the fuck is wrong with me?!"
On instinct, I kneel down and turn my head giving it space to bite into me.
"What is going on?!"
It then slowly bit into my shoulder.
The moment its fangs sunk into my flesh all I felt was excruciating pain making me wish for death itself.
But just as the pain comes, it goes and at that moment I feel nothing but pure bliss.
Then a second later I felt it all.
Emotions.
Anger, Fear, Anxiety, Care, Confusion, and some other jumbled-up feelings.
I could tell that they weren't my emotions but I felt them clearly as if they were mine.
My body couldn't handle the sudden surge of emotions in my current fatigued state so it decides to shut down rendering me unconscious.
But just before I reach the dark abyss, I hear a voice in my head that leaves my already confused mind a lot more confused and happy.
"Mine."
