Chapter 67 - Fighting some Zombies

It grows more than 6 inches and gains more than 60 lbs. This small zombie grows from 5'2, 90lbs to 5'8, 155lbs. It stands and turns to face the three fighters. Tanji notices the much larger figure of the zombie and quickly pulls an arrow from his quiver. He aims it at the zombie and uses the art he has to accompany his bow. This makes the arrow soar with almost no drop and with amazing speed. It stabs deep into the zombie's chest and causes some considerable damage. The zombie actually has several freelancer cells that it has no use for. This gives it an impressive healing factor.

It rips the arrow from its chest as if feels nothing from such an act. It drops the arrow and some cells take over the wound and heal it. The zombie runs forward and right towards Silvan for straight combat. Silvan places his crystallised arm first for defence and he waits patiently in a sturdy position. The zombie wildly swings as any of its species would and Silvan swerves out of the line of trajectory. He isn't anywhere close to being hit and his vamp speed makes it even easier for him to do something like this. He even becomes a blur for Tanji, who is placed behind him. This is because he has no enhancements and is basically just using his power to enhance his arrows.

Silvan blocks an attack with his arm and then kicks then zombie in its side. He leans in forward and lands a good punch to its head. He jumps up and leaps off of the zombie's shoulders. He dives down then lands a strong kick to his opponent's neck. The angry zombie falls back from the attack but blindly rushes back in as it possesses little intelligence.

The zombie slashes at his face but he dodges and lands three devastating strikes to the body. He shoves the zombie back to gain some good distance then swivels around and kicks it in the jaw. The jaw of the zombie shatters from the hit and Silvan gains his footing once again. He reaches out and grabs the arm of the zombie to flip it over his shoulder. He punches the zombie in his chest as hard as possible. The ribs of the zombie shatters then he hears the blood in the zombie moving erratically.

He pulls his arm away then kills a skinnier zombie that approaches him with a single strike to the head. Then, the zombie's blood floats around his arm. The blood then drops and he thinks "What?! I can control other's blood?" He pushes his arm out and extracts the injured zombie's blood. The dead and rotten blood flows around, giving off a bad stench while doing so.

The blood reforms into a condensed spear and he stabs the spear into its chest. The zombie dies for good and he removes the spear. The spear literally pulls into his arm and Tanji says "Neat."

Tanji shoots out two different zombies with his arrows then drops his bow to freely dangle on his holster. He unsheathes his sword and in a flash, he interrogates the space of the mindless beings. He slashes down one zombie then spins extremely fast and severs its head with a slash.

He then steps back to stab another zombie in its heart. He yanks his sword out, causing even more damage. After this, he kicks another zombie back before striking down to sever its arm.

He continues slashing and killing the zombies until they are all destroyed. He looks at the dead, rotting flesh on the ground in disgust and sheathes. Underneath the mud and grass below them, more live corpses begin to show themselves. They pull themselves from the thick mud and soil they are encased in. Once one zombie fully makes it out, it accidentally touches another dead zombie. A light is released at the point of contact and the dead zombie is absorbed into his body. This makes its muscular mass heightened as well as its height.

It stands and other zombies follow through by doing the same. There stands 3, enhanced zombies waiting to attack them. Tanji says "We all get one!" His eyes flash blue and red lightning trickles up his sharp, metal blade. Silvan bites his wrist and fresh blood spurts out from the new wound. It flows around his body and eventually crystallises into a strong crystal casing around his right arm.

Alden swirls fire around his hands that eventually form his scorching fire fists. His arms gain a grey-blue tint to the colour and also better vascularity. He crouches slightly and prepares for battle.

Tanji zooms forward and is the first to engage in battle. He ducks under a zombie's wild swing to swivel and slash the intestines. He leaps forward to land a good front kick before slashing up the zombie. The zombie strikes down in anger but Tanji grabs its free wrists. He pulls up wildly to swiftly unsheathe his sword and stab right into the zombie's heart. He pulls its almost floating body to the ground before ripping his sword out.

He cleans the sword by pulling it through his armpit then he sheathes it.

Silvan clashes with the zombie and he clearly possesses the superior strength. He dodges a swing with his great vamp speed then blurs forward to elbow the zombie in its chest. He follows through with a clean uppercut before landing a perfectly prepared side kick. The zombie falls down the hill and rolls once before getting back up to its own rotting feet.
