51. Uninvited guests

Her reverence was broken when they heard the glass door slide open again and they all looked at the doorway leading into the makeshift hospital room warily with Shirleen going for the neglected gun brought in by Lucy and pointed it at the door. They all relaxed when Adrian walked through the door confidently holding a big duffel bag in his hand. He wore a knee length woollen coat with black jeans and a black muscle shirt visible underneath the coat. He dropped the bag with a clutter as Shirleen ran into his arms and he raised her in his arms, his hands landing on her ass and her legs wrapping around his waist. Shirleen breathed in his scent and relaxed as he too did the same. She pulled back to look at his beloved face, "How did you know I was in trouble?" she asked him smiling.

"My plane landed an hour ago," he said softly touching her face. "As I was heading to the house Pandora called me and told me she had been hacked and you were at Olympus with Angela. She also informed me that the building had been evacuated as she had instilled a fire drill in her system in case something like that happened. The building was clear apart from twenty or so men trying to get access into the executive suites where both your offices and Angela's are situated. She also informed me she will have to shut down her system for thirty minutes giving me time to get to you."

"Looks like Pandora has just become my favourite AI in the world," Shirleen said with a relieved sigh. "Pandora must have been the one who let you into Olympus."

"Yes Shirleen," Pandora said swiftly. "But I am still trying to fix the bugs introduced to my system. I am operating at 50% optimum level. I cannot be of much help." Shirleen looked behind Adrian's and saw Juma, Leshinka and Musila grinning at her like fools and she returned the grin then turned to look at her man. "Glad to see you brought back up."

"Well, they had nothing better to do," he said winking at her and she laughed. "Kiss," he growled like a caveman and she placed her lips on his and immediately got lost in a pleasure filled kiss.

"I like it when you go all caveman on me," she teased laughter in her voice. He placed her on her feet and they both turned to look at the suspiciously grinning female on the bed. Shirleen's eyes narrowed intelligently and observed, "You planned this didn't you mum?" she was referring to her meeting and bonding with Adrian.

Angela just smiled too widely not to be suspect, "I think they are trying to get into the vault at my office. I stored the physical evidence collected by our spy on the human trafficking there," Angela said frowning. "That vault shouldn't be breached," she said in a panic as if something had just dawned on her. "It has my secret."

"Mum I am no longer a child," Shirleen said softly moving to her mother's bedside. "I can protect myself; you must trust that if nothing else."

"I think your mother is afraid the photos she has of you taken throughout the years and the presents she prepared for you every day on your birthday and Christmas will be destroyed before you get to see them. The vault has a self-destruct system if breached," Stacey said in explanation touching Shirleen's hand gently.

Shirleen turned to look at Adrian and asked, "How many of my assassins are within the building?"

"Five," Adrian replied, "I asked them to stand in front of the elevator leading to Olympus just in case Pandora is hacked again."

"Pandora is your system able to sustain ears and eyes within the building?" Shirleen asked holding her mother's hand tightly in hers.

"Yes Shirleen. I am capable of that function," Pandora replied her voice emanating in the room.

"Give me eyes and ears within the building," Shirleen said. A screen pulled up before them showing the executive suites and the elevators. "Put me on high volume I need to address everyone within the building," she directed. "My assassins," she said her voice filling every corner of the building and the five assassins who stood before the single elevator stood at attention their right hands going over their chests acknowledging her voice. While the twenty men at the executive suites straightened alert and surprised at the voice of the queen filing the building. They had not been aware she would be in the building with her extremely lethal assassins. Her assassin's reputation preceded them. "At ease," she said to her assassins and they all unsheathed their short swords with one hand and with the other palmed their handguns. "There are twenty men in the building who are definitely not supposed to be here. I have one order for all of you," she said and paused, "Hunt them down and kill all of them. None should be able to escape alive. I will be joining you on the hunt in a minute with the rest of the Kenyan heirs." She turned and winked at Adrian who was already ruffling through his duffel bag which was full of weapons. "And as for you my uninvited guests perhaps if you would have knocked on the front door all this unpleasantness would have been avoided or maybe not. Unfortunately for you we will never know. The first one who touches that vault will die very unpleasantly just so you know."
