"Yes, you do!..." Minnie Sutton became agitated again, she stopped crying, looked up at Emma Benson with her eyes red and complex, biting her lip, "Emma, you don't know, you really don't know..."
She paused, her expression pained, her gaze locked onto Emma Benson, interwoven with a multitude of emotions: sympathy, struggle, envy, and even jealousy. Finally, she pleaded, "Emma, please, I'm begging you, go persuade him, or else he really will drink himself to death!"
"No..." Emma Benson shook her head, the color draining from her face. She struggled free from her grasp, then turned around and pressed the elevator button. As the elevator doors opened, she rushed in without looking back.
"Emma!" Minnie Sutton shouted, and as the elevator doors were closing, she threw herself in between them without a care.
Emma Benson was startled and quickly pressed the button to open the elevator doors: "Minnie, have you lost your mind!? Do you know how dangerous that was!?"
