Training

The history of this world was immense and more complex than Astroth thought. However, humans were the center of attention in the history of this world from their origin.

It was irrefutable that if humans had found something valuable in this forest, they would come back someday with more preparation to snatch it by any means.

He knew that he had to become stronger and gain allies capable enough to fend off the mighty army of humans. Besides, he still needs time to adjust to his new body and to develop his new skills.

He wanted a training ground to explore his new magical abilities, so he asked the elders for direction. The Elders ponder his question and inform him of some monster areas to train.

"Mm...You can hunt some steel bulls in the outer zone, and there is a newly formed dungeon around here. "

"Wh-what dungeon?" he exclaimed, his eyes widening at the elders' suggestion.

"What are the dungeons that you are talking about?" Astroth asks the elders with curiosity.

"Hoho...Don't be so surprised. There are things like dungeons in this world. "

The Elders notify him while frisking his long mustache.

"There are instances when some unknown infrastructure rises overnight on earth; furthermore these buildings are in many shapes, like towers, caves, etc. They are called dungeons.

It attracts monsters inside and multiplies them to keep itself safe. It stipends monsters through shelter and food, as well as bodies of other races who enter it.

If you explore the dungeon and destroy its core, then you can even get some rewards.

We usually destroy the dungeons that form in these regions, however, a new one formed a few days ago. It will prove the most effective method for your growth."

Astroth gains new crucial information about this world. The Dungeon is another one of the mysteries of this world that he wants to explore.

"Um... can I join you on the dungeon quest?" a faint voice comes from behind.

Astroth and the elders glance behind them towards the voice. They saw Eli standing on the edge of the door, shifting her balance on one side. She was staring at them with hesitation in her eyes.

Astroth contemplates Eli's request to explore the dungeon, however, the elders assure him that she had conquered many dungeons alone in this forest.

They also explain that Eli is strong enough to fend off any danger.

After obtaining the elders' consent, Astroth agreed to bring Eli together with him for this training session. Eli was delighted to join Astroth on his journey.

She was already fixated in her mind on joining him, even if she had to make a fuss over it.

Astroth and Eli take their leave from the elf village and begin moving to the area where steel bulls are usually spotted. Astroth could see a gleam in Eli's eyes during their journey, and similarly, Astroth was jovial to have her.

When they were slowly walking towards the location, both could perceive some blurry shiny dots from afar. As they were roughly close to them, the shiny dots starts forming shapes of legs, heads, etc. Now the image of the mob of beasts was clear.

The beast before them was greyish blue, reflecting the sunlight at sunny noon. They had the same figure as a normal bull, but their size was massive. Their two horns were as big as a human limb, which could not only pierce someone's body rather tear it apart.

They were in groups of hundreds, and the land was like a sea of bulls. Their steps were making an uneven sound of tapping…Tap-Tap. This repeatedly echoing sound creates an atmosphere like numerous warhorses running.

"They are..."

Eli tries to explain the information about the beast to Astroth, but Astroth cuts her off. He used [Astrith] in that short time and spoke in between Eli.

{Astroth's skill [Astrith] is named after his unknown knowledge and memory.}

"They're Steel Bulls, with a tough skin just as their name implies. They have the skill [Horn Dash], which they use to pierce while running into the enemy head-on. "

Eli was bewildered by Astroth's precise remark on the steel bulls. She knew that one of his skills provides information on most things, but this was the first time she witnessed his skill. He could even tell the characteristics and abilities of a monster he observed for the first time.

When the Steel Bulls noticed the two beings in their territory, they grunted at them and charged aggressively toward the intruders. Their hundreds of blows created a dust storm in the area.

Eli was watching a whole army come their way to smash them. She was concerned and a bit frightened by the number of enemies. She took a glance at Astroth and was shocked by his reaction. He was excited, and a thrilling expression covered his face.

Suddenly, Astroth moves his hand around Eli's waist and tightly grabs it. Eli was surprised by the sudden sensation of a jerk she felt.

She tried to say something with reflex, but she felt her body lifting upwards all of a sudden.

Flap-Flap

Astroth flaps his wings a few times and gives a big push to the wind on the ground. The next moment, Eli could think of something. They were in the air, many meters above the steel bulls.

"How are my wings?" Aren't they awesome?" Astroth brags about his wings and laughs loudly. Eli kept staring at him in awe and envy.

The bulls stopped in their tracks when the enemy disappeared from their sight. They started roaming to spot the intruder again. Astroth wants to defeat them in one strike, but to increase his proficiency; he would like to try different magic.

"[Float]", he points at Eli while casting.

Suddenly, Eli starts floating in the sky without any support. Furthermore, her balance improved quickly. Maybe her elven blood did the trick, or Astroth is a genius.

"Eli try everything; there is no deficiency of targets."

Astroth encourages Eli to aim and shoot either arrows or magic spells; similarly, he also prepares to cast different spells to accommodate himself for swift casting.
