Breakfast

"I'm sorry." Qi Zheng had an apologetic look on his face. He thought that after a light cough earlier, Yun Shu would notice his presence. He did not mean to scare her.

"It's alright." Yun Shu was quick to compose herself. She lowered her gaze and thought that Qi Zheng always walked quietly.

The sound of something sizzling in the pan snapped her out of her trance. Yun Shu turned around and was relieved to find that she did not burn the garlic in the pan.

She concentrated on her cooking and put the vegetables into the pan.

Qi Zheng watched as Yun Shu continued to cook her breakfast. He did not know what she was making, but Qi Zheng could tell that whatever Yun Shu was cooking should taste very good. The smell was enough to rouse his appetite.

Worried that his stomach might start to grumble like the last time, Qi Zheng quickly poured himself a glass of water and walked into the living room.
