It was all a lot of information to take in at one time. But it was all useful information. Alissia had already decided to knock the damn prince and that girl in the face the first chance she got. "Millie, what are those technique things that you were talking about that allow people to learn how to sense those magicule things?"
"Young Miss those…." Millie lowered her head. "Young Miss, when you were knocked out, the Eldest Miss took all the manuals you had…."
"Oh? So she stole from my house?" Alissia asked, her eyes narrowing. Even if it was a petty crime, she had always felt those who were willing to do the crime should at least be ready for the punishment that would be coming once caught. But this was also something new that Alissia had learned. The family was not just her and her father but also her mother and two blood related siblings. A young brother, Tomas Greyworth, and an older sister, Mary Greyworth.
"Yes… She was the one who broke your door." Millie added.
Alissia took a deep breath and stood up. She walked over to the mirror that was cracked and looked at herself. What appeared before her was a beauty with pure white hair and midnight blue eyes that shimmered with white sparkles. Her face was slightly roundish with a small perky nose that fit her well. While she was slightly skinny, she was not malnourished, which means she was at least eating well. It was just the bruises and cuts on her body that tarnished her pearly white skin. Alissia shook her head. "To treat such a beauty like they did is a crime in itself. But first things first…."
Alissia turned and looked at Millie. "Millie, please lead me to this Elder Sister of mine. I need to have a few words with her."
"Young Miss, I wouldn't do that. The Eldest Miss has already reached rank three of novice mage and has learned how to use fire magic." Millie hurriedly warned Alissia.
"It will be fine. Millie, there is a saying from where I come from. Those who strike first will always have the advantage. Come, let's go." Alissia said with a slight smile on her face. It was her same old smile that she would have when she was about to face those who dared to do things that were wrong. Punishment was something that should only be dealt out when someone does something they should not.
"Young miss!" Millie's expression was filled with worry. She was the only one assigned to care for Alissia, and she had been by Alissia's side since she was young. She always did her best to make sure no one tried anything funny. But now…. She could only give her Young Miss, who was now ignorant of this world's common sense directions, to face her elder sister, who would probably burn her Young Miss's hair off. Millie clenched her fists and made a vow to do her best to protect her Young Miss, who was all alone….
Alissia walked out of her room which was supposed to be a guest house but was more like a broken down shack than anything, and looked at the grass at the side that seemed to have been cut by hand. She could tell this by how uneven the edge was. She turned and looked at the hands of the maid next to her and saw that they were quite rough and calloused. Alissia scratched her nose as she said: "Millie, thanks for everything."
"Young Miss?" Millie looked at Alissia with a confused expression.
"Just, thanks." Alissia had no proof that Millie was doing all these things but looking at the girl's hands that were those of someone who had done lots of labor, she felt the need to thank the girl. It could be a part of the old Alissia that was embedded deep within this body coming out, but even if that was true, Alissia still felt she needed to say thanks.
As they walked, Alissia saw that her guest house was at least thirty minutes from the main house, which was quite tall. But just the sheer size of the land they were on was quite amazing. For someone who grew up in the slums, it was hard to imagine so much greenery. Not to mention the air was fresh and pure. No smog of the city at all. The birds chirped instead of the honking and the revving of car engines. Or the chatter of the hundreds of people walking the streets.
There were no police sirens or fire trucks sounding in the air. It was a truly peaceful and serene place. "If only this place was not filled with assholes, it would be a perfect environment." Alissia muttered to herself in a low voice that was so low that not even Millie could hear her.
Such a place with such beautiful scenery was a welcoming change for Alissia. She had always dreamt of seeing such a place for herself. If only she had not needed to scrounge up what little money she could from her part time jobs to live, maybe she could have ventured out in the world back on Earth.
"A world with magic and special abilities. I wonder just what things I will see from now on. What was once a fantasy story is now a reality. Very interesting. Despite the fact that I am considered to have a shit mana body, I guess I can figure out another way to grow stronger. Millie, I will make sure we have a better life from now on. And we will start with the little thief who calls herself my Elder Sister. So be prepared." Alissia said with a smile on her face causing Millie to pause her steps and look at her Young Miss's back.
"Young Miss… Maybe it was a good thing you were knocked out…. Now… Now you seem to have become stronger." With a small smile on her face Millie bagn walking once more. "Young Miss, what do you plan to say to Eldest Miss?"
"Hmmm? We are off to punch Elder Sister in the face!"
