The next few days were a blur of shopping trips and appointments. Yujin informed me that they had a number of out of town meetings that I would be attending with them, and asked me to prepare. As usual, I had no idea what I was preparing for because of the evasive nature of their request, but I did my best.
I was equipped with a passport that I suspected was a forgery since I hadn’t actually been to a government office to have it issued. But the picture was flattering, and I was getting used to being called Imelda so I didn’t ask questions. I packed a variety of outfits, trying to cover my bases for anything that should come up.
I had never flown before, but was excited for the experience having already crossed the country on a bus. When we got close to the airport just outside town, I was surprised when Sergio drove right onto the ramp next to a small plane. It was marked with the name of one of the companies owned by their family that I recognized from my work with Elliot.
