Chapter 32: Disoriented

I was shuffled out of the vigil, into a car, and back in the private jet before I could fully grasp what was happening. The goodbye with Yujin was brief, and I could tell they were livid about the situation. Elliot was quiet and confident. He gave me plenty of space to process by barely acknowledging my presence.

I sunk into the plush seat, looking anywhere but in Elliot’s direction for an unknown amount of time. I dug the cell phone out of my purse, wondering how long it would be for Yujin to text me. I thought about how much they were likely drinking back home. I shifted in my seat, remembering that my panties were still in their pocket. I speculated about what their favorite spot at the estate might be, letting my mind wander.

“We have fifteen more hours before we land,” I heard Elliot speak from the bar. I looked up to see him pouring two glasses of wine. “We may as well get comfortable.”
