The sight of Rakesh’s eyes slowly shifting to their primal honey color sent a lightning bolt of excitement racing through her. She wiggled slightly in his arms and he let her down gently.
“I’m sure I don’t have to explain the rules?” Josie asked, stepping backwards a few steps.
“Not at all.” He growled excitedly. “How high am I counting?”
Josie feigned a thoughtful look before she answered him. “Let’s make it fair and go to 100.”
“100?” Rakesh almost whined. “But that’s so much!”
“Well, I need to be able to look for a good hiding spot, don’t I?”
“I guess!” Rakesh huffed, crossing his arms. “I’ll do it, but I’m complaining the whole time!”
“Yeah, I know.” Josie chuckled. “Now, turn around and close your eyes. No peeking!”
“Okay, okay! No peeking!”
