A Team Like Family

Thomas didn't know if it was a good thing. But all the way, he didn't care about any other thing. He had to work hard and make his father proud. He promised his father that he would show the world he is not weak.

"So you're telling me, I am a rare case? Then, what should I do?"

Thomas put the pendant in his pocket as he asked Anderson whose eyes were placed on him with amazement.

"Here is the matter. The specialty of dancing fairies is all about their moves. The name dancing fairy came from their behaviour on the battlefield. When they wave their hands and do different kinds of movements, it looks like a dance.

That's why they are called dancing fairies. But they are still a kind of dangerous fairies.

Each dancing fairy has its own movements to use powers. The more smooth their movements, the more sharp their attacks.

My grandmother once said being a dancing fairy is not easy. You have to practise your movements and you have to find new movements on your own. So it's all about you and your hard work. Others can't help you or guide you."

Thomas found it was a challenging thing for him. But he liked challenges.

As long as he could get powerful, he was willing to work day and night.

"But what I am gonna tell you is the most important thing you must remember."

Anderson stood up and walked behind Thomas. He moved the long white hair away revealing Thomas's neck.

Even before Thomas thought about what he was doing, he felt an unbearable pain in his heart. It felt like something stabbed through his heart. He hugged his chest and leaned down in pain, groaning and huffing lightly.

"This is your weakness."

Anderson came back and sat down at the same spot.

"What is that? What did you do?"

Thomas slowly raised himself up and eventually came back to normal.

"Well...Even though I said to you that you are a dancing fairy, do you know how I found out?"

When he asked that question, Thomas thought for a moment. Then he touched the headband made of leaves and asked if it was because of that.

"No."

Anderson shrugged and said.

"I don't know. It can't be hair, because many transformers change their hair colour. Mmm...I have no idea."

Thomas finally gave up guessing.

"It's natural you don't know. Because that thing is in a place you can't see."

Anderson said and pulled out the mirror from his pocket. He was like a walking bag. He had many things. Then again, he pulled out one more mirror. Using both mirrors, he finally got to show the reflection of that thing to Thomas.

It was just a little round mark. It was very tiny to the point it was not even clear to his vision. But in his clear skin, it looked like a circle drawn with green ink.

It was placed on his nape. When Thomas took a look close, he realised that in the middle of the circle, there was another mark shaped like a leaf.

He kept looking at it but noticed nothing special, until Anderson placed his finger right on that circle.

That pain again!

He hugged his body and breathed heavily in pain. It hurt like hell.

"What was that? It hurts!"

As he asked while gasping for air, Anderson started explaining it.

"This is something only dancing fairies have. This is the heart of a dancing fairy. It doesn't always appear on everyone's nape. It could appear anywhere in your body. You have got it here. When I touched it, you felt the pain in your heart, right? It's because this tattoo is connected to the heart of your body. When someone touches it, you will feel that pain. And if it was attacked by your enemy, you will die on the spot in pain!"

Thomas felt it was cruel. Then what was so good about dancing fairies? If there was such an easy way to kill a dancing fairy, how could they be powerful? They are weak! They have an open weakness anyone could just attack and kill without much effort.

Seemed like Anderson understood Thomas's thoughts.

"But, there is something more. I told you my grandmother was a dancing fairy too. She said to me that someone simply can't touch their heart. She said that they have their own secret methods to protect this especially. Since it's a secret, I also don't know what it is. So you will have to figure it out yourself."

If they have a way to protect it, then it would be good. But how was he supposed to find it alone? Things were getting more and more complicated. Being powerful wasn't easy though.

"Thomas, let me tell you. As a male, being a fairy is considered special. Because among all the fairies, male fairies are especially powerful. So you must love yourself no matter what. Improve yourself and you will eventually realise why I am telling you this."

Anderson had finally met his dream. Not only one but also two. Meeting a dancing fairy and having some brave students.

"From now on, you can also join them."

As Anderson pointed his gaze at the four behind them, Thomas felt relieved.

'Finally!'

After Anderson told him to practise the transformation process, he left the hall for a second. So the students took this chance to take a rest behind his back.

"Hey, did you notice this? In our team, we have a cute little rabbit, this handsome vampire, that short-tempered dog, a little gentle willow tree, and also a fairy. Isn't it amazing? What a combination!"

Kevin ran his mouth wild again. Nick, who got called a dog, started throwing a tantrum as usual.

"What handsome vampire?"

"I am handsome!"

"Who said?

"I am telling!"

"Oh really? What a vampire!"

"You shut up three tailed dog!"

"Stop!"

Lily's one word was enough to shut them down. They had actually gotten used to obeying her.

Sheli who saw the two suddenly became silent, started teasing them again.

"Aigoo!!! Are you afraid of Lily? I heard someone say something like 'a little gentle willow tree.'"

Sheli peeked at Lily. But seeing her glaring at her, she also shut up pretty quickly.

'Little gentle willow tree is angry!'

Eventually, when they got to know each other Thomas realised, they looked like a family. Lily was the mother while Kevin was the father. Because most of the time, Lily got pissed by Kevin's jokes even more than others. And Nick was the eldest son who always threw a tantrum and had childish arguments with his father. Sheli was like the youngest and got loved by everyone. She was the softest one. While he was like the middle child who never cared about the fights around him and just focused on his work, he found that feeling was actually pretty good.

What a coincidence! Others also had the same thought. But they never said it because maybe they felt it was kinda embarrassing to publish.

They were a perfect team just like Anderson said.

"You guys are working very hard! Are you tired of talking?"

Anderson, who was watching them bickering, said with a smile that was forcefully drawn. They were supposed to practise but were chatting cheerfully which made the teacher a little pissed off.

He was like,

'What are you guys doing behind my back?'

'Oh no!'

In the end, they had to stop bickering and get back to work to escape from Anderson, the grandfather's punishment.

The family was perfect!
