Day 1: Great Harvest

"Alright, I now name you Chua and Kai," Enzo spoke pointing to the Dragon and Phoenix respectively.

"Until you get more brothers and sisters tomorrow, you will focus on hunting small beasts in our territory up to Tier-3."

"Understood!" They said in unison happy to be given names by their Lord.

Letting them fight alone for now was the best. After checking his personal stats panel, Enzo was still weak at Tier 1, so he would only be a hindrance.

Enzo pulled up his Castle Panel. He needed to familiarize himself with the options.

[Castle Panel: Unnamed

Level: Unranked Kingdom

Troop Buildings: Dragon Phoenix Pavilion (Unique)

Upgrade Requirements: Duke-Tier Castle Core, 10 Level 5 Buildings, 100,000 Wood, 100,000 Stone, 10,000 Iron]

"Everything seems self-explanatory except for the Duke-Tier Castle Core," Enzo muttered.

[Ding! To get a Castle Core, a Castle Lord must defeat and claim a Castle Core from an existing Duke-Tier Kingdom]

"Seems we won't be upgrading the Castle anytime soon." Enzo thought.

"Let's name it The Dragon Phoenix Nation"

As the sun was falling and the temperature was dropping, the two faithful warriors, Chua and Kai, returned with their harvest for the day.

"My Lord! We've killed a total of 145 Tier 1, 47 Tier 2, and 4 Tier 3 Beasts that we're trespassing on our lands."

He had known about them killing beasts all day. The system updated him with each successful slaying. The updates rolled in so quickly that Enzo eventually had to shut them down, just to be able to concentrate on his game strategy.

As Chua and Kai were giving him updates, Enzo realized that he was much stronger than at the beginning of the day. Then it clicked. It must be that he was getting stronger with each kill of his troops. This thought made him ecstatic.

What person didn't love sitting back and having power just handed to them?

"Alright put everything in the warehouse and get some rest. You'll be meeting you're new brother and sister tomorrow so be up at dawn."

As they bowed their heads and shuffled away Enzo was rather curious about the drops he would receive.

He reviewed the facts he had gathered from his day of research. The warehouse converted the materials of the local planet into Castle Lord items.

The basic currency in Apeiron was Gold for the common folk and "Beast Crystals" for the powerhouses of the world.

Beast Crystals could be converted directly into power for the locals (basically like experience), but for Castle Lords whose troops grew stronger by killing, they were rather redundant.

Instead, the warehouse was like a lottery, converting a small percentage of Beast Crystals into anything from blueprints for buildings, tokens for extra troops, bloodline improvement, or something even better.

It all depended on the Beast Core's level. Enzo knew that he could, of course, choose to keep these Crystals for trade with the locals or with other Castle Lords, but if he played the lottery and won, there could be huge rewards.

[Ding! Warehouse receives 196 Beast Corpses of different strengths, convert?] [Yes/No]

Enzo selected 'yes'. He was happy to see three blueprints, one token, and 196 units of food appear in his warehouse.

Taking out the token and blueprints, he examined them closely.

[Blueprint: Castle Wall

Rarity: Common

Building Requirements: 500 stone, 500 wood]

[Note: This is the most basic castle wall that can stop attacks from Tier-3 warriors]

[Blueprint: Small Magic Cannon

Rarity: Rare

Building Requirements: 500 Iron, 5 (Tier 3) Beast Crystal]

[Note: This Magical Cannon can shoot with the same power as a Tier-4 warrior]

[Blueprint: Wooden House

Rarity: Common

Building Requirements: 250 wood

Charges: 10]

[Note: Raises loyalty and slightly raises reproduction rate of subjects]

[Building Upgrade Token

Rarity: Uncommon

Use: Upgrades a Non-Troop Building under Level 3 by 1 Level]

Looking at his haul, Enzo decided to list his food on the trading center.

Unbeknownst to Enzo, his listing caused quite the stir in the regional chat.

"Hey look! Someone put 196 units of food in the trading hall!"

"My Jackle troop is a Mid-Tier troop, and I only got 35 units of food today! He must have a Top-Tier Troop!"

"What are you talking about? I have a Top-Tier troop, and they could only bring in 80 units. He must have an Epic Troop Building!"

"Epic Troop Building what's that?"

"Someone said earlier that they had the Epic Troop Double-Headed Eagle which apparently has the growth limit at middle stage Tier-9!"

"What?! My Jackals only have a growth limit of Tier-7!"

Enzo, still not knowing his food listing had caused quite the stir in the regional chat, decided to keep all the blueprints, as the price he could get on day one was rather low.

Right now he had no supplies, but he had noticed in the regional chat that many players were given worker-driven troops like dwarfs, goblins, and gnomes.

Unlike Mythical creatures like the Dragons and Phoenixes, these worker-driven creatures were usually conquered by higher intelligent races and used as workers, so they were great at mining and chopping wood.

Because of the influx of the worker-driven troops in the regional chat, Enzo anticipated that within a few days there would be an influx of wood, stone, and a small bit of iron.

Even though the trading channel was only in their region, there were still over 250 million Castle Lords.

So if even 1% of the Castle Lords were given worker-driven troops, there were still 2.5 million Lords with the ability to produce timber and stone.

Heading to bed Enzo wondered what the next day inside this crazy world would bring.
