After the steamy night, Dante and I decided to spend the whole day together. We had abstained from pack duties and indulged the past 24 hours in each other's company.

No one questioned us and to our surprise, everyone was ready to cover up for us and help out with pack duties in our absence. It turned out they were hesitant to suggest we take a break because of how we would react.

That was why they were glad when we informed them of our plans. I was grateful for that hence the previous weeks had been hectic with events following the other and in the midst of it, all Dante and I had not had time to ourselves.
