Seeking safety

The Red skull organization was one of the largest and most dangerous organizations in the entire united kingdom, the level of their assassin was divided into, bronze, silver, gold, and the diamond level respectively. The numbers of the bronze and silver level assassins were the highest, while the gold and diamond level were not that much and usually very low-key existence, the diamond level were usually bosses of a branch, and each main branch had a diamond level as its boss, while a sub-branch had a gold level as it boss, the man who had given the order was for the usage of sliver levels assassin was a diamond level and was the boss of the main branch in the entire England and Wales, the remaining sub-branch in England and Wales had gold level bosses, as each state in England and Wales had its branch.

For the main boss of the England and Wales branch to be personally watching Alex and Rachel, one could see the high importance he placed on them both, naturally, he could not be bothered, but this was Rachel he was trying to catch, how could he not pay attention, he was the one that had ordered for the capture of Rachel, in hope that he would be able to capture her mother once he had captured her, he had been trying to find her whereabouts for the previous years, but she was just too cunning, as she always slipped from his grasp, but now, how would he let her escape now that he had finally found her and even known of her soft point, although he never expected Alex to interrupt his plan, he was prepared to use all forces he had to capture Rachel, even of it was to mobilize some gold level, to exterminate Alex who was in their way, there was no way Rachel and her mum could escape his grasp unless they go out of England and Wales which was slightly impossible for them.

Alex on the other hand knew not of the person who had been watching them, nor the order he had just given, he also knew of the ranking of the red skull organization, he was confident that with his skills and strength he would be able to take on gold level, but at this state of his, he would be unable to take care of the sliver level ones, as he was still injured, even the bronze level gave him some pressure the other time in the mall, he only hoped that they would not send the ones in sliver level, it would be very hard for him to deal with them if they should be sent.

After they've walked out of the mall, "where should we go now," Alex thought, he did not want to take her back to Cambridge yet, as he did not want to implicate his loved ones.

As he was thinking Rachel's phone which she had just turned on rang disturbing his thoughts, "who is it," he asked subconsciously.

"It should be my mother," Rachel replied as she picked up the phone.

"Rachel, where are you? hope you're safe,?" a voice that sounded anxious came from the other end of the phone.

In a teary voice, "mum, am fine, all thanks to Alex who had been taking care of me."

Her mother on the other end frowned slightly when she heard the reply, she instinctively wanted to ask more about it but retrained herself from doing so.

After some minutes of being on the phone Rachel finally hung up, "my mum said I should come to Oxford, here is the address," she showed him the address her mother had just sent.

Alex was relieved internally, Oxford was not far from Cambridge, it was just about two hours from there, glancing at the address he surprisingly found that he knew the place, secretly, he was determined to take her back to her mother safely before he went back to Cambridge, he knew his aunt would be deadly worried about him now, he hadn't contacted her for about a week now, although she knew the details of his job, she would still be worried anytime he went, moreover he had left without informing her this time, he also wanted to recover fully from his injuries, he also thought that her mother would have a way of protecting her now that she had called her over.

Stopping a cab, they headed to the train station that would take them directly to Oxford from Bangor, Bangor was in Wales, so their journey this time to Oxford was about four hours plus.

Getting to the train station, they bought a ticket, after about an hour the train was finally ready to move, Alex and Rachel entered a compartment with fewer people, using his eyes to scrutinize the compartment, he did not notice anything unusual, he sat down with Rachel, putting his head on her shoulder preparing to go to sleep.

"Tell me, why did you choose to protect me all this while, instead of just leaving me alone and going away, despite knowing the fact that you can't fight a whole organization alone," Rachel suddenly asked out of the blue, jolting Alex who put his head on her shoulder, and was preparing to sleep awake.

Stroking his chin gently, "let me guess I can't just leave an innocent person behind who is being chased by the unknown, especially when the innocent person is known by me, and also the one being pursued knows nothing about why they are being chased."

"But that shouldn't mean going as far until you're injured," she threw another question at him.

Asked was struck dumb by her question, she was right, why did he go as far as getting himself injured, he was not her bodyguard, he did not have any answer to that, he could only shrug his shoulder, ignoring her question and putting his head back on her shoulder again.

Alex knew not how long he had slept, suddenly he opened his eyes as he felt a sense of foreboding, glancing at Rachel who was chatting with the old man who was sitting down beside them, he looked around the compartment, he saw two men donned in a casual attire entering the compartment, it seems like they had just gotten aboard, the two men gave Alex a kind of pressure, they emitted an aura that wanted to make everyone keep a distance from them, frowning slightly, he felt that they were kind of stronger than the ones he had fought at the mall.

"Could we take a seat here with you," one of the men approached a seat near Alex, asking the man who sat there?

"Sure, you're welcome," the man replied smiling, making room for the both of them.

"Alex glanced at the two men who had just sat down, whispering to Rachel, he said, "get ready to run, they have found us".

Alex had long recognized them, he was shocked, he did not expect them to find them so easily, he had made sure to erase all traces at the mall, and although he knew how formidable the red skull organization was, he was still shocked by their efficiency at finding them. Although they had only two people this time, it was obvious that these two were stronger than the previous ones, they were sliver level, he could not afford to fight them as he was still injured, he could only use some tricks up his sleeves to get rid of them, he would not be afraid of them if he was not injured, but that was not the case right now, he had to look for a way to escape, but he did not know maybe they would be patient enough and not initiate a fight with him, although, from their looks it was obvious that they were not here to fight him as they did not release any oppressive aura, it seems like they were here to trail them since that was the case he just had to mislead them, and escape.

As he was thinking of all this, the men were also observing them, they were sent here not to fight but to trail him, they had heard that he was cunning and they had to be careful not to let him out of their sight, they were also aware of his cunningness when they heard he had boarded a train, as it would be hard for one to trail on the train, so they were high on alert.

Rachel heard what Alex said, she was struck dumb, "so they've found us," she muttered.

"Yeah, but it seems like they have no intention to attack us, they are just here to trail us," Alex yawned, putting his head back on her shoulder.

The rest of the journey was peaceful, as Alex appeared not to have noticed the two men, sleeping all the way, even Rachel was chatting with the old man beside her, this made the men reduce their vigilance as they thought that Alex and Rachel could not recognize them.

Alex finally opened his eye, yawning, he looked at Rachel, "get ready to get off this train once it stops," he whispered to Rachel.

"But we are not yet at Oxford," she grumbled in reply.

"We have to shake off those men following us", Alex looked at her while preparing to stand up.

Immediately the train stopped, Alex took Rachel's hands as he dashed outside the compartment into the crowd of people getting down the train.

The men who had reduced their vigilance against them were panic-stricken, they realized they were wrong about him, considering the speed he used to get out, it seems like all the sleep he slept and pretending not to notice them was all a farce so that they could keep their guard down, then he would seize the perfect moment to escape, quickly they also stood up and ran out of the compartment.

Luckily they could still see them from afar, as Rachel had slightly delayed Alex, she was rather slow and couldn't

run fast, else they would have escaped, quickly they followed them closing on them.

Alex knew that the men had closed on them so he stopped running in the crowd with Rachel, he started walking trying to get deeper into the sea of people so that the men would lose them.

The men who were following Alex knew of his intentions so they followed them closely not allowing them to leave their sight a little.

As this was going on, Alex knew it would be hard to lose these people, luckily as they were going, they got to a place where the crowd was denser, the crowd gathered around watching a clown show, Alex and Rachel quickly entered amidst the crowd pretending they were watching the show, for over ten minutes they stood there watching the show, the men had no choice but to also pretend they were watching the show, they did not allow them to leave their sight for a second, suddenly someone screamed out in pain amidst the crowd, everyone one turned to look at the person who had just screamed, including the men, they were distracted for just some second.

Alex was the one who had intentionally stomped on the feet of the female next to him making her scream in pain, he did this in other to distract the men who were trailing them, while apologizing slightly to the woman in a low voice he and Rachel disappeared from the crowd, entering an alley by the disappearing from sight.

By the time the men looked back, to their dismay, they found that Alex and Rachel had disappeared, quickly they started searching the crowd but they could not find them.

Immediately Alex and Rachel came out of the alley, he saw a clothing store next to them, quickly he and Rachel entered changing all the clothes they wore, he dressed like a businessman, while he made Rachel dress as some sort of mistress, with a sunglass on her face and a kind of hat, after paying, he walked out of the store while holding her arm.

They passed in tranquility between the crowds, even passing by the men who were searching for them, successfully they arrived at the main district street, and stopped in a taxi, "take us to Oxford," Alex said to the cab driver.

They had alighted from the train before they reached Oxford, so the reaming journey was about like thirty minutes to Oxford.

The remaining journey was smooth as they did not encounter any danger along the way, they had long changed back into casual clothes the moment they arrived at Oxford, at a random clothing store.

After some time they arrived at the house at the address they followed.

"Won't you go inside with me," Rachel asked Alex, he had told her he would be going back immediately to Cambridge, he said he would come looking for her some other time, but she was reluctant to part ways with him, as she did not know maybe she would be able to see him again if he left, her mother may ask them to leave anytime not giving her chance to contact Alex?

"Relax, I would come to find you soon," Alex stroked her hair, he knew what she was thinking, bringing her closer, and he hugged her tightly before pressing the doorbell and leaving.

Immediately the doorbell was pressed, and the door sprang open as her mother figure appeared, it was as if she had been waiting for her arrival.

Seeing her mother, Rachel burst out into tears as she could no longer control her emotions, hugging her mother tightly while sobbing.
