Chapter 3: Fate of Two Worlds

However, to her surprise, her grandpa was waiting for her in the living room.

Gu Jin fastened her pace and bowed to her grandfather.

She sat on the sofa and asked curiously, "Grandfather, did something happened?"

The Old man shook her head and said solemnly, "Gu Jin I want to tell you something"

Gu Jin's expression turned grave.

Her grandfather would never call her by her full name until and unless there was something important.

The Old man continued, "Jin'er, I want to tell you a story."

Gu Jin nodded.

"Have you ever heard of the parallel world?"

Gu Jin was surprised but nodded her head.

"So today I will tell you a story of a parallel world."

"In a parallel world, there was a Magic Civilization."

"The Magic Civilization had only one rule, survival of the fittest."

"There power and wealth talk just like earth."

"Coincidentally the name of the planet was Earth too."

"So on Earth, once lived a powerful couple."

"They were called the Mighty Mage Couple."

"The Might Mage Couple were guardians of Magic World."

"But once they made a mistake due to which they were punished severely."

"And their daughter and son have to pay for them."

"The daughter and son were reduced to the trash in their magic cultivation and had to start from the beginning."

"During their journey, they met a girl whose cultivation was average."

"The girl was an orphan, she was criticized for her average talent."

"However the daughter of the guardian was friendly towards her."

"The girl was touched and when needed she would help the daughter."

"Yet once she paid a hefty price by sacrificing herself for the daughter of guardians."

"Jin'er what do you think about the girl?"

Gu Jin said disdainfully, "Foolish"

The Old Man nodded and asked, "Why do you think so?"

Gu Jin explained, "Her mistake was not sacrificing herself but trusting someone just because of been emotionally unstable"

The Old Man nodded his head in satisfaction.

He roused from his seat and said, "Jin'er you are unique, and remember that Gizem Ring is a treasure. "

The Old Man raised his feet towards the exit.

Gu Jin was confused, does her grandpa visit her at midnight just to narrate a story?

She shook her head and followed him.

At the gate of the mansion,

Gu Jin stared at the thundering clouds.

And gazed in the direction of her grandfather.

She felt an anomaly.

Ignoring her instincts she turned to the mansion.

Resulting in missing out on the shadow hidden in a nearby alley.

Soon she returned to her room and felt sleepy.

She hurriedly perused the content of her mails and went to bed.

Closing her eyes, she was lost in the darkness of her dreamland.

The Gizem ring on her hand was enveloped with black mist.

Soon the mist changed from black to green.

The thundering clouds soon gathered at the top of the mansion.

For many individuals, it is a sign of evilness, but it is known to very few individuals that it represents mysteries too.

The thundering clouds were making rumbling and crashing sounds.

And soon a bolt of lightning made its path toward the mansion.

Landing on the mansion, strangely it didn't destroy the mansion.

Instead, it passed through and landed on the gorgeous yet unworldly girl.

The bolt of lightning encircled the girl.

Swish

The lightning disappeared in thin air as if its existence was an illusion.

The clouds too vanished in thin air.

The girl remained motionless.

Like no one can wake her up.

However, the aura around the girl changed, as if she wasn't the one who slept on the bed before.

This rainy night changed the fate of two girls and two worlds.

Gu Jin slept peacefully unaware of the change in her surrounding.

The morning ray of light fell on Gu Jin, who was sleeping soundly.

Gu Jin who had her guards up always became stunned.

She opened her eyes which were filled with caution and alertness.

Surveying her surrounding she stiffened.

She was in a dorm room.

Dorm room?
