Chapter 1 : Woke Up in a Strange Place

Welcome to the Afterlife, Lian Sheng!"

Hearing a strange sound coming from nowhere, Lian Sheng frowned. She looked up and looked in all directions for the source of the voice but found nothing.

All that could be seen in her eyes was an all-white wall emitting a blinding light. This made Lian Sheng have to squint her eyes to see where she was right now.

"Where am I? Why isn't there anything here? Why is everything white?" She said scared.

When she realized that she had died from a sword stabbed by a teenage boy she didn't recognize, her face turned pale with glowing eyes.

"I-I'm dead?"

Suddenly from the middle of nowhere, another voice echoed in Lian Sheng's ears.

"Yes, that's right. You're dead. But fortunately, God gave you a second chance to be reborn and pay for all the bad things you've done in the past."

Hearing that, Lian Sheng did not understand at all. She frowned,

"What does it mean?"

Lian Sheng understood that the sentence meant she would be reincarnated in a person's body, but she didn't understand why the gods would do that to her. Whether this was a punishment or a reward, she didn't understand at all.

"When you wake up later, go to Yuanshai valley to activate your cultivation. And please remember what I said. A system will bring your luck, depending on how you behave."

Still, in confusion, Lian Sheng was startled again when a white light suddenly became so bright it made Lian Sheng cover her eyes with her hands to avoid the glare of the light.

Suddenly, a buzzing sound rang out very clearly, making Lian Sheng's headache lot. A moment later, her consciousness disappeared in an instant. There was nothing to see after that.

•••

Consciousness slowly began to come to Lian Sheng, her weak eyelids now starting to slowly open.

Her limbs began to move gradually, indicating that he now truly had regained consciousness. When her whole consciousness recovered, her body became very fit, she felt very refreshed even though she was lying in a hospital bed.

Lian Sheng turned to her side, there was a medical monitor that never stopped making strange sounds. She frowned, feeling very confused by this unfamiliar place.

"What kind of world is this?" She says in her heart.

A moment later, she accidentally saw her hand that was fused with the IV. The expression on her face now turned slightly surprised.

"I was reincarnated in the body of a teenage girl?"

Looking at the white and smooth skin of those hands, Lian Sheng guessed that the owner of this body must be extremely beautiful. However, Lian Sheng's head suddenly hurt when she tried to read the memory of the owner of this body.

Her eyes suddenly widened, showing an expression of shock as the memory flashed through her mind.

"Huh? Bullying victim? Disorganized family? Sad love story? Betrayed by his best friend? How could all such bad things happen to a poor girl like her?!" Lian Sheng said as the memory appeared.

Now Lian Sheng understood that the owner of this body died due to a suicide incident.

Lian Sheng continued to dig up information about the owner of the body, her brain actively working to get all the information Lian Sheng needed.

Shao Feng, seventeen years old, is a high school student, her family's economy is very poor, her father is a drinker and gambler who likes to abuse her mother, while her mother is just a factory worker who works hard to make ends meet. She is academically stupid, has no talent, and is constantly ridiculed by the students at her school. Her daily activities are helping her mother with work.

All the basic information about Shao Feng's life could automatically be read by Lian Sheng in her mind. Lian Sheng then understood why Shao Feng had decided to commit suicide.

Being too absorbed in her thoughts, Lian Sheng didn't even notice the medical monitor next to her which kept making strange sounds.

A few moments later, there was the sound of footsteps with a fast rhythm, which indicated that someone was running toward this room. It wasn't long before Lian Sheng realized it when suddenly the door of the room opened with a strong jolt.

"Patient Shao Feng is awake! Nurse, please come here and help me check it!"

Seeing a youth wearing a white coat with glasses perched on his ears now approaching him, Shao Feng just remained silent because she felt that this man was a good youth.

"Since when have you been sober, young lady?"

"A few minutes ago." Shao Feng replied coldly.

Hearing that answer, the young doctor just nodded and fell silent again. The doctor focused on the medical monitor that had been beeping next to Shao Feng for a long time.

In the doctor's hand were a notebook and a pen. The doctor seemed to note something contained in the medical monitor.

After he finished taking notes, the doctor again turned his body to face Shao Feng. He took out a stethoscope from inside his white coat, and then put the instrument to his ear.

He checked the condition of Shao Feng's heartbeat and again recorded it in his small notebook.

Seeing the doctor who was just silent as if he was thinking about something very difficult in his mind made the nurse next to the doctor couldn't help but ask a question.

"Doctor, do I need to get a sphygmomanometer for you?"

The doctor shook his head,

"No need, I can see the blood pressure from the medical monitor. I was just amazed when I found out the patient had come out of a coma. I thought the percentage he was conscious of was only 0.1 percent and I even thought she was going to die. But it turned out that I was wrong, she woke up in an instant … even with her healing rate increasing greatly."

Shao Feng was silent when she heard that. She does not know what to do. More precisely, she waited for the doctor and nurse to come out quickly because then she could focus on her memories again.

While being silent and letting the situation happen, suddenly someone gently grabbed the top of Shao Feng's head.

"This is a miracle, you are lucky! Please don't waste your life like yesterday again, okay?" The young doctor said with a smile on his face, making his eyes look narrow.

Apparently, it was the doctor stroking the top of her head gently. With the soul of an old granny, Shao Feng naturally felt uncomfortable and do not like when she was treated like that by a youth. But she just kept quiet and let the young doctor do the little things.

Shao Feng didn't want to fuss over trivial matters. After all, her body was indeed that of a teenage girl, not an old grandmother who worked as a shaman in the past.
