Planting Fear

"Your time's up," I said.

If the other students are as strong as Lewis, then I might have trouble dealing with all of them at once. There are four of them and just me after all.

I never wanted them to accept my offer and I didn't expect them to either. They may accept to return the things they collected from the students and also promise me that they won't report Alex but it won't be something that can be guaranteed.

They may accept just because they are scared of my appearance and the fact that I discovered them, but all of that could be thrown away along with their promises once my back is turned. The best way to resolve this is to beat them to submission.

I walk towards them, one step after another, slowly, making each step as terrifying as possible. They were bedazzled by my act of arrogance and were still in a daze when I got to the first person.

I flung my legs across the average-weight boy, adding enough strength so he won't be getting back up to cause more trouble. I was left with Lewis and the other two to deal with.

The attack on the other boy has brought them out of their daze. They attacked me from every direction, trying to take advantage of their number.

Fighting in the night has always been my forte. It was the kind of condition for which I was trained for. All the training I received from Geo, Nate and Cara were in the nighttime. The lightfoot skill I learnt from Cara, dodging and blocking attacks from Nate, and how to attack from Geo.

They were all skills I was taught when we were planning to rescue Jane from being sold to the auction house. They were all skills suitable for fights in the darkness.

I used the lightfoot skill to avoid most of the attacks, dodging some and deflecting the others with my palm. They were finding it very difficult to keep up with my coordinated movements and space soon open for me to attack.

I had deflected a strike from one of the seniors and the other saw it as a chance to attack me when I was still dealing with the other one. He sent a punch to my chest but it was too slow to touch me.

I had adjusted my footsteps and bent to one side before his blow could reach me, making his blow hit nothing but thin air.

He lost his balance when the blow did not connect to my chest. He had put all of his strength into that single attack.

He lost balance and tried to steady himself with his two hands stretched outwards leaving his belly vulnerable. I saw the opportunity and attacked the boy.

I took him and kneed him in the stomach, punched his face, and threw a kick straight at his stomach. The boy was sent flying and only stopped when he hit the tree I hid behind, fell on the ground, and passed out.

I was left with just Lewis and the senior who had been speaking this whole time. I didn't want to waste any more time so I dashed at the senior with full speed. I was already in his front before he knew it and I punched him right in the nose, breaking his nose and blood poured out of them.

He held tightly to his nose trying to stop the blood from gushing out. The boy would continue to attend to his broken nose, he too won't be ready for another fight anytime soon.

I stood in front of Lewis who was still looking for a way to get around me. I came for him especially so I didn't waste any time beating him up. I beat him in such a way that he won't be able to hide the bruises in school the following day.

I knew they will not back out easily so I had other plans for them. I gathered the four of them together. They were all still grunting in pain.

"If you think this is the end, then you are very wrong," I said to them.

They thought I was going to beat them again or torture them or whatever but I wasn't going to do that. They begged me to spare them that they won't collect things from students again while Lewis kept promising that he won't report Alex again.

I know they were saying that because of the situation they have found themselves in, so I didn't believe their words.

I told them to get a paper and write boldly on it "I STEAL FOODSTUFFS FROM STUDENTS" Every one of them. I told them that they must wear the paper around the school throughout the next day with the foodstuffs I met them sharing carried boldly on their hands.

I promised to do worse than I have done already if they fail to comply. I threatened to break each one of their limbs if they fail to follow my words. I didn't have to inform them not to say a word about Alex.

I left the place and sneaked back to my dorm. On my way, I felt a slight pain in my chest. I had overstretched the wound I sustained during the fight against the hooded man on the rooftop.

I could feel little drops of blood coming out of it but it wasn't something critical so I just ignored it and returned to my dorm.

I sneaked back into my room making sure not to alert my sleeping roommates. I looked back at the act I had pulled off in front of Lewis and the seniors. There was no way anyone would suspect that it was me.

The steel mask made my voice deeper and also covered the lower part of my face. I made sure my long dark hair was tied in a ponytail instead of letting it flow down my neck like normal. I was proud of myself to have done so well.

I quietly changed out of my black dress and dropped to my bed, feeling weak. I slept thinking of the drama that would be staged in school the next day. One was produced and cast by Lewis and his allies and directed by me.

I slept off.
