Twin Suns

I follow Irafnan, and see that his life is a simple slave life. He isn't disciplined as often or as bad as other slaves. Probably because he is still his father's son. He still has some whip scars though. The guy does the light labor around the mansion. He carries stuff around, packs things, stacks things, cleans things in difficult places and such.

It was honestly boring. That is, it was boring until the night fell. The slave boy should be in his slave quarters at this time. The quarters are where more valued or valuable slaves lived. He snuck out of them using a clever path to remain unseen. He was sneaking towards the slave pens. Which are only a little better than pens for common animals.

I decided to move in closer, hopping the roofs to follow. Irafnan slips into the slave pens unnoticed. He is actually unexpectedly agile. Must be the feline genetics. In the slave pens, the slaves don't have individual sleeping areas, they sleep together in groups in a single pen. Irafnan went into a particular pen and gently put his hand on a girl there.

I scanned the female, and what do you know. The female happened to be Lona. Not surprising, expected even. Lona is stirred and I saw her gain a smile. I turn on my soundwave readers that my bio-helmet has, so I can listen in.

Lona is happy Irafnan is there, "Irafnan, it makes me happy you come to see me, but you must stop. Our lives are set. On top of that, I'm used goods. I'm not worth it." Her smile becomes a sad one.

Irafnan shakes his head and with conviction, "I'm not off the shelf either. You're worth it to me. I'm working on the plan. I've been working on the escape path and how to disable the collars. Just be patient Lona."

They then hugged and kissed some. A few minutes later, Irafnan exited the pens and headed back to the quarters.

It is indeed a tale of romance and peril.

Marka appears next to, "I know you can reach to the feelings of others Bido. Reach out to theirs, so you can feel what they feel." Then he leaves as quickly as he came.

I follow what he says. From them both, I feel love, fear, and hope. The hope in Irafnan is stronger than the hope in Lona. They both love each other equally as strong though.

The days are repeated like this. I even followed close enough to see the secret escape path Irafnan is making. It was just a tunnel. A tunnel he must have been working on for years. That means Lona was brought in on the plan.

I saw him stashing mechanical and electrical parts. He has a few slave collars he's taken apart. He's figuring out how they work, so he can disable them. The kid is smart, and patient.

As for Lona, it seems she has been completely reliant on Irafnan. All she does is store up small amounts of money when she can in a hiding spot. All slaves are check when they come back from working as dancers for credits or anything valuable of course. Lona hides the credits in, private places to get through the inspections every time.

Then one night, they did something very risky. I've been watching and using the Force to share their feelings for 3 months now. Such a thing hasn't happened at all during this time.

They were having sex in the slave pen, trying their best to keep quiet to not wake the other slaves in the pen.

I immediately looked away, turned off sound, and shut off my Force empathizing. I'm not a voyeur.

7 minutes later, I sense Irafnan leave the pens. 7 minutes is a little short in my opinion, but I don't know what's normal for a Zygerrian nor a Marialian.

The days were repetitive for me. Empathizing with their feelings as made me understand the two of them more though. During the day, nothing really happens. The boy may sneak some technological part for later or even set some things up for future sabotage and that's it.

To dampen my boredom, I anonymously take some local bounties against gangs and local criminals. They weren't challenging at all. I could kill them with a simple smack. So I just killed them in odds. I dropped the peel of a fruit so one of my bounties could slip on it. Then I threw a rock as they fell, so the rock can be under their head when they fall. I've used this method a few times now. Sometimes I even just throw the rock. I've come to like this rock actually. I've decided to make it my pet. My pet rock Carl.

Back to the two lovers. After a few more months, Lona gains a pregnant belly. Irafnan feels pressure to begin the escape soon. The boy now begins to rush his plans. I see this is as bad thing. Rushing leads to mistakes. A plan like this, can't have any mistakes.

I can feel that Lona is very worried and fearful now too. She obviously doesn't want her love child to become a slave at birth.

I hear a whisper in the cold breeze, "Don't interfere..."

I growl lowly in contemplation as the night is at its height.
