It Was Cold And Dark With Rain Falling On Them

Heisuke felt a lot better this morning even though his body was still aching.

Hisaki came here before she went to work. They had breakfast together.

Then, the young maiden, his dear girlfriend checked on his dressing before changing it to a new one. Before Hisaki left, she repeated the reminders.

"Don't get your wound wet. Even though you don't feel like it, still, you have to rest."

Heisuke bashfully nodded his head, "Okay."

Hisaki smiled in satisfaction. She glanced at Mrs. Saeki who was at home. The older woman was allowed to take a few days off to take care of her injured son.

"Aunt, should we have fish soup for dinner? It's good for brain injury."

"I'll buy some mackerel then," Mrs. Saeki quickly agreed, "How about having rolled omelet and spinach with soy and sesame as side dishes? Oh, we can grill the mackerel too."

"Can I prepare the soup?" asked Hisaki with a shy smile.

"You could. Leave the others to me."
