Death Sprang Up And Suddenly Robbed One's Life

The following day after work, Heisuke accompanied Hisaki to a funeral home where Mrs. Fujimori's wake was held. The place was a few kilometers away from the retirement home.

Although Mr. Mayeda offered to allow Hisaki to only work half-day just so she could go earlier to the wake, she politely refused his suggestion. There was no need for that because it didn't involve her family as listed in the employee's guidebook.

Still, she was grateful to have such an understanding superior.

The couple had to switch a few buses before arriving at the town where the funeral home was located. From the last bus stop, they had to take a cab because there were no buses heading to the funeral home area.

For the occasion, Hisaki wore a one-piece long-sleeved black dress. She kept her long hair tidy into a bun. Her usually clear eyes were clouded with sorrow as she couldn't keep her mind off of Mrs. Fujimori.
