The Answer That She Desired

Mrs. Chisaka was holding up to hope despite she had yet to receive a promising and decisive answer from her husband. Ever since the day she persuaded him to move out of this town, Mr. Chisaka was still keeping his silent.

"Let me think about this first."

Those were her husband's words before they ended tea time in the backyard the other day. She had to accept it and not push him for the answer. Since then, the husband and wife returned to their everyday lives.

One afternoon, Mrs. Chisaka was tidying up the kitchen. Both of them had a simple yet fulfilling lunch.

After finishing his meal, Mr. Chisaka excused himself to a corner of the house. It was used as his home office, the place where he often spent time whenever he needed to work. Sometimes, Mr. Chisaka also read books there.

Mrs. Chisaka sent a cup of tea to her husband before she hurried to the kitchen. He was busy reading something and even jotting down notes when she last saw him.
