Her Life Chronicle

Hisaki entered the bedroom and sat opposite the small closet. She kept the box next to the ones containing her yarns and needles. Holding both sides of the box, she brought it out and put it down on the floor.

The things that caught Hisaki's interest in the box were the books. Four ordinary notebooks and a leather-bound book of the same size.

She guessed that the late Mrs. Fujimori might chronicle her thoughts and the events she had witnessed in her life in these books, resembling diaries. The covers of the simple notebooks were quite worn-out, unlike the leather-bound one.

'What did she write?'

Hisaki couldn't help to think if there was really any mention of the jade bracelet in any of these diaries. After all, Director Yamasaki mentioned how Mrs. Fujimori wanted the possessor of the bracelet to have the box containing these books.

There should be a clue somewhere.
