Chisaka Hisaki and Saeki Heisuke only met each other in the latter half of their lives. Deep scars wounded their hearts yet, they found comfort and healing in each other.

First, she had to run away from the abusive man her grandfather forced her to marry for money.

Second, she had to search for her old man.

And the most important thing! She had to prevent her old man from being imprisoned!

The younger Heisuke almost accidentally killed someone due to his thirst for revenge. Despite escaping death row, he still suffered a decade in prison.

After her initial plan succeeded, she finally met him!

The quiet young man was really him. Even though he didn't show it to anyone, she knew how soft and colorful his heart was; as soft as cotton candy, as colorful as the balls of yarns. 

Heisuke eyed the new girl in town with suspicions but, his heart felt strange. It went doki-doki.

For Our Happier Path

As Shuuya had mentioned before, Mr. Moriaka and his group of friends came to visit the beverage store. Because the business was quite slow at that time, Heisuke and Hisaki could greet them. Shuuya acted as the intermediary.

Mr. Moriaka was a young man around their age. He was quite tall with decent looks.

Like Shuuya, Mr. Moriaka didn't act arrogant despite being an heir to a big business in the capital. His friendly vibe allowed the couple to get along with him. The young man also praised the drinks that they created for the booth.

"I've heard from Mr. Kawata that you plan to open your business in the future, Mr. Saeki. How about you start with these drinks? As long as you have the passion and willingness to try, I believe you can go further."

Hisaki actually thought Mr. Moriaka resembled a motivational speaker. Still, she was also happy to have another person giving words of support to her old man.
